I originally ordered the large banana bed for my petite 7-lb cat, but I exchanged it for the XL (pictured). Unless you have a kitten or a kitten-sized cat, I recommend getting the largest size. The XL is “purrfect” for my cat to burrow in, while leaving plenty of room for her to hide comfortably under the flap. The XL is a little floppy and expensive for what it is, but the sheer novelty of this bed makes it worth it. Overall, it’s a fun, bright-yellow banana for my cat to monkey around in!

Cute bed, soft and good size. Would have given it another star. However, the Velcro to hold the peel open was sewn with two matching soft pieces that cannot stick to each other. So, a bit disappointed that I will have to sew it open or go buy a bit of Velcro to replace the missing piece.

I love this l! My cats like to hide under things and play with each other and this has been endless fun for them! Its soft, easy for them to get in and out and fits two in at a time. Money well spent!

No surprises here. Big and soft, nice colors and materials. It has a slight factory smell to it, but that might just be the fabric; it's really faint and I have no doubts that it will go away in time. It was easy to flip inside out so that I could snuggle it (the cats take to new things far more quickly if they smell like me).The cats haven't tested it out yet, but it's only been here for about half an hour and they're still more interested in the box. Only time will tell. If my two don't take to it, it would probably just be a matter of taste. I know another cat that would love it, but I'm really hoping mine take to it because this banana is adorable and I love having it in my living room.

Cat approved!!! Super cute and cozy birthday present for my cat that likes to burrow and sleep "inside" things... Bought the hamburger bed, various cat houses, etc with no luck. The banana bed is the clear winner w my super picky cat. I bought first a medium sized banana bed from China and it took over a month to arrive and was smushed in a tiny bag, deformed and poor material. This bed arrived (xl) in great shape and sturdy. Do not be fooled by purchasing the cheaper beds. U get what u pay for. Btw. My car in the pic is approx 10lbs Persian in xl bed. Medium was too small and xl maybe a little to big. Just ordered the large bed as well since I have 3 cats.

This banana bed is super cute and seems well constructed so I'm not unhappy with my purchase but if I had to do it again I would probably order a size smaller. I've got some husky cats so thought the largest size would allow them room to stretch or possibly snuggle up together but... it's big. Bigger than I expected. There's no missing it, that's for sure. Also, my cats only nap in it if it's the middle of the night and they think I can't see them. When I've surprised them in the banana, they look embarrassed. I'm hoping with time they'll get used to it and view it as whimsical and fun rather than undignified because it does feel sturdy and comfortable.
