This dog grooming set works great. I have a beagle mix that has semi-long hair, and I was surprised at how much hair these groomers picked out of her coat. She even seemed to enjoy it more than usual. Both groomers are sturdy and well made. I certainly recommend this groomer set.

One of my long-haired cats is a rough and tumble guy except when it comes to grooming. Then he's as tender as a newborn and can't stand to groom himself below his belly - or to let me do the honors. This shedding rake is configured to gently remove all of the terrible tangles, tribulations and clumps of fur that grooming doesn't. My tender tabby let me groom most of the worst undercoat tangles and mats without so much as a hiss. The comb dos a very thorough job of smoothing and grooming the top coat. Overall, this is the best result I've ever achieved with him, although it will take more sessions to remove all of his last year's undercoat. The handles grip securely without slipping, and they feel good in my arthritic and nerve damaged hands.

I have a long haired dash hound that constantly gets tangled, but the dematting comb is great really helps smooth out and free up her hair and a great pie for anybody with long hair pets other than that. The blades are sharp very adorable and the handle is very comfortable. Super easy to use.

They both also have a nice quality look and feel overall. When it comes to the effectiveness of the brush it provides a smooth brushing experience while also getting a good amount of hair off my cat. Hair is also very easy to remove from the brush once finished.

Nice brush set, includes a dematting rake and a desheding comb, the dematting rake worked nicely to remove tangles my dogs fur, one side has 10 teeth and the other side has 19 teeth, the inner teeth are sharp like little blades that can cut away any stubborn tangles, and the rake collects loose fur, the ends are rounded so it won’t scratch the dogs skin, it seemed to work nicely to pull out loose undercoat fur as-well.The deshedding comb didn't work that great for my huskys fur since the pins were so close together, it was difficult to slide it through my husky's denser fur, however the comb did work on my cat that has much more fine fur, the metal tips are also rounded so its safe and won't scratch the skin, both my dog and cat seemed calm & comfortable with the brushes.Both brushes have nice sturdy rubber coated handles with holes so they can be hung from hooks, stainless steel blades for easy cleaning, and feel well-built, ultimately I'd recommend for long fur dogs & cats.

We have a long hair cat that is susceptible to tangled hair if we don’t keep up with grooming. His hair is very thick. This product works well on him. The “rake-style” tool very quickly eats through our cat’s thick fur. Because it’s a bit more intense than some of the other brushes we use, he does not tolerate it for more than a few minutes. That’s enough time to get the job done. (Don’t get me wrong though, the soft protective edge of the round corner blade will not cut the skin.)This product is excellent for the cat owner who does not have a lot of time for grooming because it works quickly. My wife tends to be the one who grooms our cat, and she appreciated how effective the double sided rake is. However, she was not impressed with the comb. I think the issue with the comb might be that it’s not designed for our cat’s type of fur. Regardless, the rake tool is well worth the price.I appreciate the sturdy stainless steel design of these products. They have a nice weight that equates quality. If you are a busy pet owner how owns a cat with fur that’s tough to groom, this product might be exactly what your are looking for.

I have a friend whose dog loves to be combed and brushed. I'm going to see if he wants this set. It's well made, the double-sided comb has two different sized edges, and the shedding brush is solid and did pull out lots of fur. My dogs have short fur and we don't comb or brush them often (they love pets, but with hands lol). The didn't like this and got all stiff - but that is clearly totally on them. It is a high quality set that works well, and my friend with a dog who loves being brushed and combed is going to be getting this as a gift next Christmas.

This Pet Grooming Combo, featuring a Deshedding Brush and Dematting Combs, is a nice set of tools that is essential for owners of long-haired dogs and cats. The dematting tool isn't a brush per se. It's a double-sided bladed tool, each side with different spacing that you can use to cut apart mats and pull out some of your dog's undercoat. Worked very well on my Golden retriever to remove a mat behind his ear and thin out some of the excess hair, as well as taming his fluffy butt. The comb has teeth of alternating lengths that are pretty closely spaced. It didn't work that well on thicker parts of his hair, but worked well on both my dogs' leg feathers and my Springer Spaniels' ears. I think it's best suited for silky hair. Both tools have non-slip handles and an easy-to-hold, ergonomic grip that makes them comfortable to use. They are described as made as stainless steel which means they shouldn't rust. I found them to be high quality, sturdy tools for home grooming.
