The trigger bushing was too tight for distributor shaft. Called pertronix. The guy cleverly explained to me the part is injection molded and tolerances are possibly too tight! I should use an exact knife and adjust it to fit! So I spent the afternoon messing with it and eventually split the bushing! Made in California! Certainly doesn’t hold a candle to the old ones. Going to call them and see if they will send a new bushing, sized to fit, if not, back it goes!

Usually happy with Pertronix. Not this Time. Would not work on 1950 John Deere A. Had to go back to old school points.

The trigger bushing would not fit on the shaft correctly so I had to force it on. This can be a problem since it needs to be in the correct position for accurate timing.
