I bought this perimeter trip alarm to enhance security around my campsite, and it works exactly as I'd hoped. It’s easy to set up with the included screws, and the trigger pin is well-designed with an extra "keeper" chain so nothing gets lost. It makes a LOUD bang when activated, perfect for alerting me to any wildlife or intruders (e.g., sneaky raccoons trying to raid my YETI) without causing harm. The build quality is solid — made of some REAL solid aluminum — and it’s compatible with various blanks and primers for different levels of deterrence. Overall, it’s a great addition for anyone looking to improve their camping or property security.Pros: • Easy to install • Loud, effective alarm sound • Doesn’t cause harm, just alerts • Durable, rustproof aluminum construction • Works with different types of primers for versatility • Great for peace of mind while campingCons: • Blanks/primers not included (get them from your local hardware store) • Instructions could be clearer for first-time users • Might need additional accessories / screws depending on use cases

I Love this device! I have used them for a recent camping trip, and I am confident in this trip alarm’s ability. If it's deer or intruder, once they trip this, I know it, immediately. The blast is extremely loud, and will scare off any animals, hopefully intruders too. It is important to consider if you have kids or pets, to take care of how high you place the trip line. I have accidentally discharged them myself, because I just forgot where I had placed them. This trip alarm is a must have on all my camping trips now for peace of mind.

It was not a user friendly product.Very very difficult to use becauseOf the way it was made, in my opinion. It was difficult to disassemble after each use.Could have been a factory design defect or manufactoring defect. But not worth sending back to them.

Pulling the pin is so stiff, an animal would have to get tangled in it to actually pull the pin in most cases. It requires a 4 or 5 pound pull to slip the pin. It would be better if I oiled it, but it too tight.
