This year we wanted to add something fun for our grandkids to do out in our large backyard, yet learned did not want to put in something that we could not use going forward, so we decided to use these brackets as well as several 4 by 4 posts to build and operate swing set and center slide that would allow mark grandchildren to be able to go play Outback whenever they come to visit.We ended up purchasing two 8 foot segments, and one 12 foot segment to go overhead that would give us 4 feet on each side and in between. This past weekend we ended up pouring the concrete for the posts, and this weekend we will be putting the pergola brackets Installed with the 12 foot pole sliding directly between them all.What I really loved about these was the fact that they were one solid piece of steel that also had the 45° segments properly braced on each end. When the grandkids grow out of this we will definitely be able to utilize this more for its intended design of being a pergola, but for the moment we're going to continue to make sure our grandkids are spoiled.

Used this kit to cover a 10x13deck very happy with it. Much better quality than I expected I used standard 4x4 little loose fit guessing to accommodate expansion when wood gets wet. . When screwing in the brackets the sides flexed in a little to hide the gap. The eyelets for sail shade on the sides was a main factor for purchasing these over other brands worked exactly how we wanted it to. Purchasing more when in stock to do our front deck!

All packaging was very well protected, and hardware worked very well, you need to be more specific on instructions for roto drill size

The brackets look good, but they DO NOT fit snugly around a 4x4. There is at least 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch of slack, which is simply too much if you are trying to build anything remotely sturdy.

We are using these brackets to build and expand our main farm pergola, and they match our existing kit perfectly. The steel feels solid and well-made, making us confident they will hold up to the task. Although we haven’t completed the pergola build yet, the brackets appear to be of high quality and exactly what we needed. If any issues arise during installation, we’ll update our experience. So far, they seem like a great addition to our project.

Thanks for reading my review!Although the weld and the construction seem strong, the thickness of the brackets seems on the thin side. I do like the design - they will support the weight and make sure things are distributed correctly. They're also very straight which will help keep the integrity of the pergola or carport or whatever you are building. The price seems a little high in comparison to the competition.
