About this item

  • Pressure side cleaner for in-ground pools
  • Cleans floors and walls
  • Works with concrete/gunite, vinyl-lined, and fiberglass surfaces
  • Includes 33' hose
  • Cleans in 1-3 hours

This creepy krauly platinum is simply the most powerful pressure-side cleaner for darker colored pools. It's the ideal choice for in ground pools exposed to higher loads of leaves and debris. A leading choice for pools with yards with lush landscaping and tougher cleaning challenges. Dual thrust jets provide maximum power for speed and suction so most pools are cleaned in just 1-3 hours. Front-wheel drive and heavily treaded tires provide maximum traction on inclined surfaces to assure total pool wall and floor coverage. Four wheel design prevents tipping (common with 3 wheel cleaners) for uninterrupted and unattended performance. Large-capacity debris channel and huge intake throat easily pick up larger leaves and debris. Suitable for concrete, vinyl-lined and fiberglass pools. Disposable debris bag for use with pressure-side in ground cleaner is available. Lightweight frame and improved tire/wheel design result in four times greater cleaning coverage of pool walls. Powered by an independent booster pump for maximum cleaning performance and unimpeded surface skimming. Available in gray color.

I was so excited to get this new cleaner, reviews were great and Pentair is a good solid company. I have been fighting this cleaner for 2 years now. It gets stuck mid wall, runs over the hose getting knotted, hose will gets knotted at least 10x a day due to back flow valve tangling up. I have the proper hose length, clear the bag often, and still horrible performance. If it wasn't so expensive I would just buy a new one, but for now I am fighting daily on performance. DO NOT BUY THIS CLEANER!!

I replaced my old Pentair Kreepy Krauly Platinum with a new one. The old one last 5 years and may have lasted longer had I not tried to move it in freezing temperatures. I ordered a new one, color gray, and got a huge shock. The picture showed my exact model, body mostly white with a gray clear shell and gray wheels. What I got was a totally gray Kreepy Krauly with a gray hose.It works great now that I reread the installation instructions that said to cut the flexible hose to the depth of the pool. Be very diligent when installing, as there is a correct way to do it and every thing else is wrong. If it tangles, you probably didn't cut the flexible hose short enough.DON'T BELIEVE THE PHOTO IN THE AD, if it says GRAY it is dark GRAY, ugly and not great in a light pool.

For years we used a Polaris 3900 for sucking up the debris/oak leaves/digger pine needles out of our 40' x 20' pool, but the chain mechanism driving the sweep kept needing repairs and we noticed that in its' old age it constantly ended up in the deep end stuck against a wall. Pool guy recommended this flashy hunk of junk so I gave it a go.KreepyKrauly was able to bounce around the pool like an RC car and the suction seemed decent as I noticed that small sandy debris and smaller oak leaves were doable for this device, but throughout the winter I found that it has no interest in collecting anything larger than the oak leaf. So the pool is filled with larger debris (tons of pine needles/sticks and such) which I now need to vacuum out manually. WOWee what an upgrade, spend 700 bucks on a sweep that can't suck up most of the stuff on the bottom of the pool, BUT it scoots around pretty good.

Pros... I bought this to replace my previous legend platinum. The first one lasted 10 years. Needed a rebuild kit with the gears, but I figured after 10 years, for the price difference just go for the new model. They both work great! My pool never has debri at the bottom and always looks great. It’s cleanin a 17,000 pool that’s about 40x20 and the hose fitting is in the middle of the pool.Cons... replacement items for maintenance. The debri bags only last about 12-18 months before they start to tear and need replacing. Tires last about 3-4 years. Reverse valve lasts about 5 years. Wall connector pressure release lasts about 5 years.Overall, I’m happy with the device and repurchased the new model which has a slightly sleeker look.

Installed this as a replacement for a Polaris one year ago in a 20,000 gal. inground pool. Installation was easy, as I already had a high pressure pump port to plug it in. I leave it in the pool all the time. I did have an issue where the bottom became partially detached, but Polaris sent me to a local pool shop to have it repaired under warranty. The problem was resolved fairly painlessly. The bearings and wheels will probably need to be replaced after this upcoming season. The reason I did not give this four stars is the engagement between the drive gear and the wheels feels sloppy and when it hits walls it can disengage and skip teeth. I think this has led to some broken teeth. This was exacerbated by the issue with the bottom becoming partially detached (making it sloppier, etc.), but they declined to replace the wheels with broken teeth as they are considered a wearable part. In any case something It does a great job at cleaning leaves, even very large ones. Also the tail prevents silt build up on the bottom. Climbs the pool walls all the way to the top, but my pool is only 4 to 5 feet deep. The velcro on the bag is deteriorating more than I would of expected, but still holds well. Hose occasionally tangles, but not to often and no more than my old Polaris. Overall, I've been happy with it.

This pool sweep was an excellent choice! My pool is 12'x24' and it cleans the entire pool in about an hour. It was very easy to set-up and you won't be dissapointed with it!

Honestly, this was a struggle to put into service. It needs too many tweaks and the instruction manual doesnt really address them very well. I followed the instructions to a T but probably cut it a foot too short for my pool (it is a rounded type pool). Also, it tends to lean too much, go in a circle too much, and the back wheels do not really touch the pool floor - all of these can be fixed, but it would be nice to have pre-printed instructions on how all this is fixed ... you know, for the normal (non professional) pool owner.Best price for it and my first one (salt water pepple tec pool) lasted 6 years. My Polaris died in three with significant and expensive repairs needed in year 2 and 3.
