The concepts of natural history, ecology and predator/prey relationships may all be found in this mysterious fur ball. Small pellets are 1/2-inches - 1-inches. Note: the barn owl population is at a 10-year low and natural owl pellet supplies are limited. Warning: Chocking Hazard - Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.

I purchased these for our summer camp program. The kids love discovering what an owl could not digest. They are a good size and each child found great bones.

I was surprised that there were as many bones in the small pellets as the larger pellets. My students had fun with this.

There was nothing but a plastic bag supplied by the manufacturer NO BOX! The pellets were crushed and I don’t have time to return and reorder. I need them this week. This is amazon’s error, not Mountain Home Biological.

This product comes with a bone sorting guide for students to identify and classify both the types of bones, as well as the animal they came from. Amazing experience for my students

Purchased these for my science classroom. All of them had rodents, and a lot of fur. no birds or weird animals. When the kids put them together only about 4 had complete skeletons. the rest had random bones. or multiple skull pieces. Wish all the kids had experienced putting together the whole skeleton.

Bought these to use in my son's kindergarten class. Was initially skeptical of the pellets containing anything due to the small size but they all contained a large quantity of bones (the desirable thing in owl pellets). They were in good condition, clearly sanitized and easy to work with. 16 kindergarteners had a blast being owl detectives.

Excellent activity for kids! At a birthday party, we set up an owl pellet dissection station. The older kids (4-5 year olds) found it most engaging, especially with parents getting excited about finding things as well. The bones are pretty small, but there were lots of vertebra, jaw bones, teeth, skull parts, etc., to be discovered. The pellets were clearly sanitized as they didn't smell at all.
