This is cute and I’ll keep it, but:- It arrived in the same little bag as the adhesive circles, one of which had stuck itself to the front, leaving adhesive residue that I had to remove.- The adhesive circles included, are just slightly larger than necessary. They will be visible from the side if I don’t adjust them before applying.- The two pieces are joined together slightly off-center, which if you’re a stickler like me, is annoying. I’m hoping to stop noticing this once it’s on my door.

It might work for some. Maybe I got a dud. DO I expect a miracle for about $7 product? No. Do I expect it to perform at a minimum level for an affordable item that is being sold as such? Of course. I installed this on my door and then realized the cover was so hard to turn, it practically defeated the purpose of having it moveable. I then tried to massage it for a couple of days, and still, it was too tight to be effective. It went in the trash.

This "Peephole Security Cap Set" is exactly what was needed for an empty spy hole that was on my backdoor when I purchased the house. I had plugged it up with some tissue paper to prevent prying eyes, and keep out the frosty air in winter.This provided an altogether neater solution. In the small pouch, there are three items: the unit itself and two double-sided adhesive rings in red. The unit feels and looks like bronze, although it could well be plastic. I immediately knew what to do. I pulled off the top, which is the red, and the bottom, revealing the double-sided adhesive in a grey ring which I pressed firmly onto the back of the unit, then pasted it over the hole on my door (see pictures 1, 2, 3 and 4). The lid slides very effectively around in 360 degrees. It is simple, effective and definitely a much better option than the tissue paper I had plugged the hole up with. A simple solution to a simple problem.

I feel so much safer having this. Now I cans see without opening the door and no one can look in from the out side. I can not see who's at the front door from any of my windows so I actually put a bandaid over the peep hole. This is perfect!! I just cleaned off the place where it needed to be attached with alcohol and let it dry then attached this and pressed down firmly. Then I left it alone for a day. Stayed in place and works perfect. It even matches my door handle. I couldn't be happier. Everyone needs this security feature on their door!
