INSTALLATION
1. Turn off Ignition.
2. Keep your key fob (if applicable) at least 35 ft. (10m) away from your Mazda 3. This prevents your car from using power to transmit signals to your proximity key fob sensor.
3. Leave your driver’s door open for 15 minutes to allow your ECU to shut down completely.
4. Locate and disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug.
5. Plug in your Pedal Commander in line with your accelerator pedal assembly plug until you hear a “click.”
6. Make sure the cables are tucked in place so they do not interfere with your driving experience.
7. Place and mount the Pedal Commander to your desired location using the velcro and mounting bracket that's included in the box.
IMPORTANT
To avoid receiving check engine lights or other issues, it is important that you follow these instructions properly. Also, please ensure that you hear a “click” sound while connecting the plugs, as this signifies a secure connection.

I was skeptical on purchasing this for my 3gen Mazda 3. But i need to eliminate the lag on acceleration from a Skyactive engine. Im really happy with the result. It brought an amazing power as soon as you hit the gas pedal. Actually is crazy how this gadget really works. Its ZOOM ZOOM now!

Easy to install. Took me like 15 mins or so. Just a warning though, dont try to be a nascar driver and go straight to the sport mode, haha. You def launch off of the line. If you drive a 6 speed like me, there is a learning curve if youre used to the way your throttle felt before. Def recommend

I’m a definite Pedal Commander convert. Purchased and installed the PC41 a few weeks back after finally biting the bullet on the $300 price tag. I looked at a number of performance chips first, but chip reviews were mixed and I wasn’t confident that chip claims about power and torque gains were real. Even if the claims were realized, I wasn’t sure that they would address the throttle lag that my Mazda3 exhibits.So, back to the Pedal Commander. Yup, it’s expensive but it has fully addressed the sluggish throttle response. As many have said, the PC really sensitizes the throttle and has greatly improved my driving enjoyment. Also, I’m finding that the clutch and accelerator interplay is smoother when shifting my 6sp manual transmission. I think this is because in the City minus 1 mode that I use, there is less slack in the accelerator uptake.For me, the PC has been effective in addressing throttle lag and really improving my driving experience.
