Having previously used an old shoe box with multiple holes punched in the sides I decided I needed a better and more dignified bird carrier. I wanted something soft with no large holes or bars so potentially panicked birds wouldn't injure themselves getting wings or feet caught. This fitted the bill and I purchased this back in early summer 2023 in anticipation of using it for a 4+ hour road trip to collect some doves. Plans fell through and it went unused until August 2024 when it finally saw use albeit for just under an hour. This review regards birds the approximate size of a Budgie.The materials all seem very sturdy with the zips feeling strong and secure enough with an easy glide. The mesh mixed with fabric fold back privacy covers are great as it allows good ventilation and heat escape which is essential as as lot of the bag is thick plastic. The removable padded floor insert uses velcro to hold it in place and provides comfort and safety as well as allowing an easier clean after use. The overall design keeps most mess contained such as seeds and droppings; neither of which my partner would have liked having wing slapped in to the back of his head whilst driving.I was a little concerned about the three holes at the front but I never observed either bird poke their heads through. The steel rings would allow for two large stainless steel washers with a bolt and wingnut (facing outwards) to be used to block each one if desired.My bag has three positioning holes for the perch which is unlike the single one shown in the listing when I purchased. This is better as it allows a choice of positions though the top and bottom positions are quite close to the back and front of the bag respectively so they may not be too suitable for larger birds or long tails. My two never used the perch instead preferring to sit on the floor staring out as seen in my picture so I can't really judge its suitability.All in all I'm very happy with my purchase though I'm not really sure how to store it. I'm loathe to unzip it and flatten it down incase it gets forgotten and damaged in a cupboard so for the time being it remains intact.

Ich habe den Rucksack hauptsächlich gekauft, um meinen Nymphensittich gut und sicher zum Tierarzt transportieren zu können.Ich muss aber sagen, dass der Rucksack derart gut und stabil verarbeitet ist, dass ich ihn schon vorher testen wollte. So haben wir ihn für einige kurze Ausflüge genutzt und mein Nymphensittich fühlt sich wohl darin.Ich bin absolut überzeugt, weil sowohl an artgerecht Sitzmöglichkeiten, sichere Frischluftzufuhr als auch an die Möglichkeit, das leibliche Wohl der Piepmätze zu sichern, gedacht wurde.Von mir fünf Sterne ⭐️ Würde ich wieder kaufen 👍🏼

I got this as a secondary travel "cage" for my parrot, because I needed a way to handle the dog & keep my parrot secure without having both hands occupied. My non-backpack travel cage is clunky & made more for vehicle transport. Now, I can take the dog & bird out at the same time.Thankfully, my turquoise GCC loves his carrier. After airing it out, I introduced it to him outside of his large playtop flight cage. He warmed up to the backpack really quickly (with the encouragement of seed & an apple slice). Went in on his own & is now very possessive of his travel backpack. He strutted around on the bottom, too.I like the size, since his tail doesn't get bent uncomfortably. The zippers were fine on my backpack. The smell is what I was most concerned about after opening the Amazon package, but I wiped it down and aired it outside. Fixed.

Scrivo dopo un anno dall’ acquisto e svariati viaggi con Eolo ( la mia calopsitta). Lo zainetto è robusto e adeguatamente spazioso per far viaggiare comodamente e senza stress il pappagallino, difatti come potete vedere anche dalla foto, Eolo ha fatto il viaggio appeso su una delle due pareti laterali! Dotato di trespolo e mangiatoia/beverino, si pulisce facilmente.Ve lo consiglio onestamente per portare con voi i vostri amici pennuti!

We moved a large cockatoo for a friend for rehoming purposes and this worked great. The bird was comfy for an hour plus ride and even took a tour of his new home in the backpack mode. It was comfortable for the wearer, a great size for the bird and seemed very well made. Not to mention it was kind of cute as a carrier.

I got these for my two cockatiels (bought two separate ones) and they liked it much more than the one with the giant plastic dome. This has mesh on it so air can actually get into it and it comes with a cover to keep them more calm on car rides. When I had to take my two cats to the vet for shots I couldn’t find their typical carriers and put them in there. They both did much better in them especially since they could change position in them. It was also easier to comfort them because I could still pet them and pat them even if from the outside.

I love everything about this product!! The quality. How big it is. Very breathable got pets. Protects from rain. Can shield out lord of wind and still be breathable. It can also be shaded if the flaps are let down for sunny days. I have not tried it out on my bird yet but excited to take it on a trip.

The whole reason I ordered this was because it had a perch that had food bowls that attached to it and it was in backpack form. I needed it for travel and because it takes forever to get anything from Amazon, there was no way to get another one here before we left. Trying to find a rope perch that has the screw and the wing nut on the end of them to use instead but I live in a remote area with zero options even hours away. I have some wood perches with the washer/wing nut but they are too heavy and don’t hold up horizontal because the sides are flexible. Comes with a strap inside (to attach to cats collar or bird leg?) worthless for budgies so just something to get pooped on or have to cut out. I was lucky that I had some food bowls I can make work in there.Left a seller review, couldn’t find a way to contact the seller to request perch.Its $4.40 cheaper now than when I purchased it few weeks ago, irritated immensely with this.

Update: the company reached out to make this right and sent me a new backpack. Great customer service. I'm just hoping the zippers last!!I bought this for my two conures to go on walks and take outside for brief periods of time. Once they got used to it, they loved being in it and they knew they got to go outside when it came out. However, after just a few months of owning it, the zipper is no longer functional. As soon as I zip it, the zipper separates from itself. One time I was out for a walk and someone said, "oh look, the bird is sitting on the backpack!" I turned around and the zipper was hanging wide open, and one of my birds was sitting on the top of the backpack. Before I could get her to step up, she flew away. Luckily I was able to retrieve her but I'm not able to use this backpack anymore.

My bird loves her new carrier!I can’t wait to take her with me on our first road trip!There is one thing I would suggest to the makers.The perch isn’t able to be completely secured. It can turn and my bird found herself upside down holding on.I have tightened the perch screws as tight as I can. I even thought putting 2 washers on each end might help. It did nothing to help. It needs to be able to be secured to the carrier somehow.My bird weighs 1 pound. This might not be problematic for birds that weigh less.I’m definitely keeping this. Hopefully my bird will be able to figure out how to deal with this.I am totally happy otherwise!
