Your cart is empty.PEAK Atlas LCR40 AUTOMATIC PASSIVE COMPONENT ANALYZER. The Atlas LCR is an advanced instrument that greatly simplifies the testing of passive components. Traditional LCR bridges are inherently complex and very time consuming to use. The Atlas LCR does everything automatically, it tells you the component type in addition to component value data. What’s more, the Atlas LCR automatically selects the best signal level and frequency for the particular component under test. Simple to use: Just clip the universal test leads to your component and press the test button. In seconds, the Atlas LCR will identify the type of component (Inductor, Capacitor or Resistor) together with the component’s main value. Additionally, further component data is also displayed, such as the DC resistance of an inductor. The test frequency is automatically selected to suit the component under test and this is also confirmed on the scrollable display.

It’s easy to pocket. It’s easy to use. You don’t have to extrapolate the data by measuring using a passive tester or the need for a signal generator to determine electrical characteristics outside DC.The results are easy to read. No menu options exist so it’s almost foolproofif you accidentally push crud into the 2mm bullet connectors it’s going to give you wonky results. A homemade inductor tested 930uH in one direction but 1.003mH in the other direction… was a bit of a mystery for me. Until I decided to flush the 2mm bullet connectors separating the probe clamps to the unit with a syringe applicator with 100% isopropyl. Afterwards it tested between 960uH and 970uH in both directions. It’s funny how sensitive it is to that sort of thing
