I have windows 7 and an MSI Z97 PC Mate mobo. One of my built-in SATA ports stopped working on the mobo. This little card was expected to work seamlessly but what I am finding is that, when I connect my hard drive to the card (tried both ports), it won't get recognized right away after the Win7 boots up. I have to go to device manager and scan for new hardware and then it will find it. This happens every time I restart my computer so its a bit annoying. I will use it for now until I rebuild my machine in a few months. I will reach out to the seller to see if they can suggest anything and may update this review based on their feedback. Thanks!

Very happy, Plug & Play, no drivers needed using Windows 10, needed on a mother board with only 3 Sata ports, one dedicated to DVD drive.

it was very cost effective and was a bit concerned about it but it has been working for months now and solved my issue.

The PCIE card was delivered on time and it was an easy plug and play with Windows 10. I used it to and a second DVD writer and I've never had any problems with speed. So far it starts up everytime and works exactly as it should.

This worked perfectly. I ran out of internal SATA connections on my system and needed to add another basic SATA drive for backup storage. This worked perfectly. The SSD I connected to it, is recognized during boot (causes a small boot delay while it turns on) and will even allow me to boot from the drive if needed. The Samsung EVO 860 I have connected appears to be running at max speed (sustained 500+MB/s) and Windows 10 had zero issues recognizing the adapter or the SSD after booting. If you need a cheap solution to add a couple more drives to your system, I would very much recommend this adapter.

The Low Profile bracket that comes with this card is not what is shown in the product photos.1. Note the position of the top mounting hole on the smaller bracket. (see photo)2. The bottom hole is about 2mm too far, meaning that with the bracket installed, there is not enough clearance, and the card will not fit.I had to butcher the full-height bracket to get the card to stay in securely. I will not be buying anything from LTERIVER again.

I installed this item on an older Gigabyte motherboard because I had bought it used and it had only two functioning SATA ports. After installation, the computer repeatedly crashed, sometimes even locking up the boot screen. I opened the case and unscrewed the SATA card (this purchase), whereupon I found that it was actually loose in its socket. Now, I can't recommend my solution generally, although it seems to have worked fine in this instance. I bent the metal mounting bracket of the card until the card was firmly seated in the socket AND the screw slot of the card matched up PRECISELY with the screw hole in the case, and then put in the screw. No more crashes. Enabled two more SATA connections, as desired. In my opinion, this scenario is actually an example of an inherent weakness of short PCI-e cards - - that they may not seat properly in their sockets when screwed into place.
