This keyed patio sliding door handle set is a great option if you need a locking sliding door, and it includes everything for installation: thumb latch, exterior handle with lock cylinder, two keys, mortise lock, self-tapping screws, keeper, three pairs of screws, and instructions. However, it's crucial to carefully measure your existing door before purchasing, paying particular attention to the thumb latch position and its alignment with the lower latch slot. The product itself appears to be well-made, of high quality, and durable. The finish is attractive, and the handle feels solid and substantial in your hand. It seems like it would withstand regular use and provide good security.

Attractive and heavy dutyMade very well with thick gauge metalThick offset handles are easy to see and gripKit includes everything necessary for installation, including adapter plates and heavy duty hardware and precision machined screwsGiven the weight of these glass doors it's important the handles are thick and well madeIn my case i got the wrong drilling so I couldn't use them, but I wish they were the right ones

At first I thought I was missing something in the directions, but I've read them over and over. I cannot figure out how to connect the key tab with the interior lock switch. In other words, you sandwich the unit together and the key side has a tab that goes through the locking mechanism and then should attach to the switch on the interior so you can lock it with the switch or latch on the inside and with the key on the outside. It tells you clearly in the directions that you may have to cut the tab in order for it to fit properly. It then goes on to say that if you cut it down too far, you will have to buy a whole new set.But what it doesn't tell you is how to connect the tab from the latch and the tab from the key. They do not go together. It is like having two keys turning around each other with neither actually tripping the lock.I'm not sure if I'm making myself clear. If you have ever put together a door knob, you know that the pin that goes through the tongue that actually opens the door must also go through into the other door knob so that you can open it from either side. With this sliding glass door lock, the pin goes from the key lock mechanism, through the locking mechanism, and then doesn't connect with the switch on the inside. The switch/latch has its own pin/tab that doesn't attach to the key mechanism's pin/tab.So frustrating!I ended up just leaving the key side tab going through the lock so we could lock it from the outside and then putting a barn door latch lock on the inside. But with this set-up we are bound to eventually leave the latch locked when we want to use the key and will have to go around to the front anyway. We will eventually order another like this once we can be sure it works properly.

Very nice looking. Well built and adds nice touch. VERIFY correct fit for door. When I took the prior one off it had large rectangular square to place handle and screws , etc. thru. As in no holes to make and no way to screw thru door to keep perfectly secure. Also door was 1' thick. I created shims out of PVC board for both handle sides, with matching screw holes. Traced where it would go when installed with mortice. Drilled 2 small screws thru PVC (1 top and bottom - both sides. Placed lock handles over it. Can't tell and it .... Looks perfect !!!

Happy to finally have a lock on our casita! It functions exactly as expected.- It fits snug, so there is no wiggling when pulling the handle and it locks tightly and securely.- It came with two keys, one for me and one for my husband.- It took my husband about an hour to remove the old and replace the new. He said it was moderately difficult to install. This was our first time replacing a lock on a slider, though.- It looks really nice and there are no blemishes in the metal or paint.- The lock latches effortlessly.Very pleased with this product and would recommend it.
