No complaints so far. It threads on nicely, and seems to be high quality. It fits perfectly with lenses and filters. The only small thing to point out if I had to is it doesn’t flatten completely.

When I received the Canon R50 with the bundled lens, I noticed that it did not include a lens hood. While there is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) lens hood available for the Canon RF-S 18-45 lens, it is priced at around 23 dollars, which I found to be a bit excessive. Fortunately, I discovered these rubber lens hoods that are not only more affordable, costing about half the price, but also fully functional.Although the rubber material may feel slightly flimsy, it effectively blocks light from entering the lens. Additionally, its lightweight design makes it ideal for a compact camera. When not in use, the hood can be conveniently collapsed by pushing it in, and it can be easily extended when needed. Furthermore, the hood provides an added layer of protection for the lens against potential bumps.I had previously purchased another lens hood from Amazon, but it caused issues with the lens cover not fitting properly. However, with this particular hood, everything works seamlessly. The only minor inconvenience I encountered was the installation process. Unlike the OEM lens hood, which only requires a half-circle turn to attach, this lens hood has a screw-in mount that necessitates a few turns, which takes a bit more time. While this is not a major issue, it is worth noting.Overall, I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a reasonably priced 49mm lens hood. In my case, I intend to keep this lens hood attached to my 18-45 lens permanently.

I own several of these rubber collapsible lens hoods, and they're awesome. The PARIKIL is good quality. It collapsible design makes for easy packing, and the flared opening usually allows for vignette-free shooting down to about 24mm. I purchased the 77mm version for use on a 70-200mm lens. The thread ring is actually of higher quality than my other set; it's both wider and thicker, which should make it more durable. This might explain the higher price point, because it is a little more expensive. But when the price difference is just 2 bucks, it's worth it.

Seemed good until the rubber separated from the metal ring.

Because this item comes disassembled and folded and crammed into a very small package, it’s not likely to perform well at the time of delivery. I will assemble it, and if it actually takes a shape that does not impede the view. I will change this review. If After I assemble this item and it does not regain a completely round shape, it will be returned. Now it’s assembled, still not round and the size is not compatible with any 77mm filter threads..Returning…
