This machine is great. paying guys to come and Aerate my lawn no thanks anymore. Little work on getting the sand in the wheels but other than that it works great. Love it and all my neighbors all want to borrow it. Perfect for less than a 1/3 of an acre of lawn to aerate. Good workout too!

It does definitely work. It's also, a LOT of work. From first putting it together, to filling it with sand, to using it, takes some time. Make sure you are ready to invest almost 2 hours, before you even get to use it. That being said.... It takes some muscle to push around your yard. It definitely does NOT turn on a dime. I discovered doing a couple yard intervals, and going back worked best. I'm not super impressed with how far down it punches. The tines go in, but it pulls a one inch plug, roughly. I did discover, going the wrong way (I am not recommending this) pushes a longer plug. It would have cost me $100 to rent a gas powered core aerator. So if this thing last me three years, it's paid for itself in my eyes. I won't be leaving it outside to help it reach a longer lifespan. Also, you have to un-spring the tines, before putting it away. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the purchase. I would recommend to a friend or family member.(Not meant for a large yard. I have 1/4 acre)

The quality of the product is second to none. Also the design was very well thought out. I tried using it without the sand just to test it out and it still aerated my lawn. If Amazon screened all the products that are shipped there would be far less returns. I will not be returning this bad boy. Great Quality!!!

It's a workout for sure, I was soaking wet in sweat. Probably took 45minutes to do a quarter acre.

This aerator works very well with about 30lbs of sand added to the wheels. It's a lot of work doing a whole yard, pushing around about 60lbs all together. Would not be very useful if you have somewhat inclined or hilly landscape, as pushing uphill would be quite a task! With a regular somewhat flat yard, it works great , and gives a great workout. The plugs come out great through the aerator tines. With 2-3 uses it will have paid for itself, compared to rental gas plug aerators.

I JUST FINISHED PUTING IT TOGETHER, BUT ONE OF THE SPRINGS IS BROKEN. IT WOULD BE NICE IF I GET A SPRING REPLACEMENT, THAT IS WHY IS A 4 STAR, I WILL MAKE ANOTHER REVIEW AFTER I TRY IT ON MY LAWN.
