You definitely get what you pay for, but it's not terrible if you're doing light work with it. It definitely only cleanly cuts a few sheets at a time and the low number is a little frustrating, but it's cut through thin paper and cardstock very well.

Incorrect product description - Do not purchase if you need to cut 12" x 12" paper in fact it doesn't even cut an 11" piece of paper. The Product itself may be 12" x12" end to end, but the actual cutting measurements are only 10" x 10" so you cannot put a 12" x 12" piece of paper on it and measure it to cut it to an 81/2" x 11" in piece. Has no finger guard - very unsafe and worse yet you get charged $6.99 to return it at a UPS store. Only free if you return to Staples and I have no Stapes store near me. Biggest rip off! Very disappointed and now I'm out $7!!

I really wanted one of those monsters from my school days, but the old ones are hard to find. I purchased this one because it was a good price and was happily surprised. Not only does it have some weight to it but a nice sharp blade, non walking feet, and cuts accurately. I look forward to using it with heavier cardstock and possibly with book board (heavier weight cardstock but sturdy pressed paper cardboard) for my hand crafted journals. I'm very pleased with this purchase and would reccomend it to friends.

This paper cutter has a cutting length of 12 inches, I can easily cut through large pieces of paper without having to worry about imprecise cuts or uneven edges.The blade is very sharp, it cuts through paper effortlessly, without leaving any ragged or torn edges. With its precise cutting capabilities, I can easily cut through multiple sheets of paper at once, without having to worry about them shifting or becoming misaligned.
