The compact PV-V4523S offers four-head playback, stereo sound, Commercial Skip, and front-panel audio-video inputs for a camcorder or gaming console. Its four-head design ensures smooth slow-motion play (forward and reverse) and clear still-frame images, while hi-fi sound records and plays back dynamic stereo audio tracks. If you route the stereo output to an AV receiver, you can even enjoy four-channel (left, center, right, and monaural surround) Dolby Pro Logic mixes from TV and Dolby-encoded cassettes.
You can schedule ahead using the recorder's one-month, eight-event programming, and the unit weighs a mere 5.5 pounds--perfect for quick moves from the recreation room to the bedroom or living room when needed. Features like index search, program end search, tape-position display, a trilingual (English, Spanish, French) onscreen display, all-channel auto set, auto power off, and the ever-handy auto clock set greatly simplify setup and operation.
Commercial Skip speeds past unwanted portions of a tape in one-, two-, or three-minute increments. Index search lets you zip right to predefined index points, and tape-position display indicates how much room is left on a tape, before or during recording. The PV-V4523S also has Panasonic's Ready-to-Play feature: as soon as you plug it in, the combo automatically sets its own clock and local TV channels. It comes with a universal remote control.

VCR arrived works great had a note apologizing for the time that it took with a partial refund. I didn't have to ask for this they just did it not many people do that anymore

My son is autistic and still relies heavily on his VHS cassettes. We go through 1-2 VCRs a year and they are increasingly hard to find at a good value. You all delivered. He is super happy and I am a happy parent because of it. We will use this company again when it’s time for the next one. Great product and in excellent shape. Works outstanding with zero issues.

Purchased this for my 88 yr old Dad who has not graduated to the world of Cable (and refuses to). He is able to watch older videos that he already has, still having problems taping his favorite show's. I'm sure it is a simple fix which my brother will be able to solve. Over all Dad is happy which makes me very happy with the purchase. I'm giving this a 5 star based on how fast I received this, how clean it was and the basic instructions included. It was very easy to retrieve and print the full book of instructions.

When I first ordered this VCR I was so excited and thought it would be well worth my money. I am never one to leave a rating but I felt like this was worth it. After ordering the VCR, I shortly realized that I had entered the wrong mailing address but then thought "oh that's no big deal, I can just get it changed and poof, all is good" WRONG. The seller tried to argue that he paid the shipping in the first place and that it would be unfair if he had to pay again. 1* I paid shipping, NOT him. He came off as almost standoffish as if he wouldn't help me out but we resolved the problem after TWO ignored emails and THREE weeks later. I finally got the address changed and waited TWO weeks to receive my VCR. Turns out the assistant did not mail it like they were supposed to so I had to wait another week. By this time, I am anxious and FED UP with all of this nonsense. I FINALLY receive my package this morning and all excited I open it, and imagine that...IT'S SHATTERED. The top looks as if it were stomped on, the whole front panel was broken off and into pieces, and the flap to the opening was shoved into the actual VCR. Needless to say, I am fed up with all of this and I will definitely NEVER buy from HB Music ever again. I hope anyone else who does buy from them has better luck than I did.
