The VCR is easy to setup and operate. I use it to watch old movies. My movies are so clear when I pop them in my VCR. I totally recommend the purchase and the price is okay.

I inserted a video tape into this device and it has jammed and I am unable to get it to eject. The tape is stuck and the recorder is unusable. this was my first attempt to use it,thus i have wasted my money on a useless device.

Piece of crap. Lousey quality. When it did work, it worked poorly, and then quit working altogether after only one month. Regret this purchase. A waste of time and money.

For an Emerson and for a VCR player--- AMAZING they are still to be found. I can stay an antiquated old person and keep playing my old tapes.

The VCR turned out to be not quite reliable, sometimes shutting down before playing the entire tape. This is discouraging as the reason for buying the machine was to make our VHS tapes into DVDs so as to save them to a modern medium as the VCR becomes obsolete and no new ones are made.

Received a little earlier than expected and was packaged well. Easy programming, easy hookup and works well. Only wish it came with instruction book even though I really didn't need it to get it up and running.

I purchased this VCR because my prior Emerson VCR I had was starting to shut off after 1 hour of use whether recording or playing. This one is just as good as my last Emerson. I only needed this VCR so I could continue to dub from VCR to my DVD recorder. It does sometimes makes a grinding noise during playback, but doesn't affect playback. The remote still works for my older Emerson VCRBuy it. It's worth it.
