As measured from the outside of the threads, this filter is actually 1 7/8” across (not the 1 1/2” shown in the image). Yes, it’s probably considered a 1 1/2” SAE course thread fitting, but the image with the measuring lines is misleading. In our case, that’s a GOOD thing that it’s larger, since we’ve been trying to find a filter to fit our Platinum Spas Barcelona hot tub. This is a tiny bit shorter in height but works fine. So far so good in terms of it being a filter!
