Machining is rough, needed a lot of deburring to get it working reliably. For the money, it’s ok. If you don’t mind a little handwork, it’s a decent tool for the money. I put this on a very old Atlas 618 (6”) lathe. Works out ok. Requires grinding just a bit off the bottom corners of the toolpost to allow it to rotate 360 degrees.

I used this product to replace the tool post on my VEVOR mini lathe. The quality is good and when locked down in place it is very rigid. The thread used for this tool post matches what is on the VEVOR mini lathe. This measured to be a 10mm diameter bolt (9.80mm over the threaded section) with 1.5mm threads. The mechanism itself has no play and impressed me for the price point. I would recommend using this one easily.

The OXA size QCTP arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. As expected, there was a fine coating of machine oil covering everything, so there was no corrosion found. The wedge style tightening mechanism was a bit rough, so I completely disassembled all items, cleaned, deburred, lubricated, and reassembled. The mechanism operated much smoother. I exchanged the factory tool post with this…easy straight swap. Mounted a turning tool and everything worked fine. Thinking the mfr forgot to include the knob for the handle, I contacted Amazon for a replacement. Immediately a new set was sent with the request I return the original set within a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, I found the missing knob. I received the new set and turned it back around to Amazon. Excellent service and I’m happy with my purchase.

This toolpost is a good size for the Atlas 6” lathe, a little machining on the included tee nut was needed and was expected when I ordered it. I’m using it on the newer version of the lathe (the Mk. II).The AX0 tool holders sold by Amazon fit it well.
