I'm so glad I decided to get this instrument! Once you set the com connection, the software shows you're connected at the top of the window, and you can disconnect, or connect by an icon in the upper left corner with a pair of chain links. this allows you to make changes, before going back to; linked to the software, which essentially disables the buttons on the power supply, until you disconnect. ON THE POWER SUPPLY PANEL; With the display button; I navigated to the display that shows the power supply on bottom, and the meter on top; I then used the mode button to highlight the power supply output, and set my parameters (I used a preset in memory, in the software). I then reconnected with the link button, and used the meter to measure the voltage in a lithium battery, while outputting power! *NOTE* when you first open the PC software; the display is predominately Chinese; the button in the lower left corner, gives you English!

I needed to measure the resistance of some circuit breakers and the recommended conditions were with 10A. This power supply can supply a sufficient test current AND has a millivolt sensitivity meter. Setting constant current mode for 10A and measuring the voltage drop across the device and applying ohms law measured the resistance. Before buying this I tried to do the measurement with the $100 milliohm meter (0.1A and a few volts) I already have but was getting inconsistent readings. The manufacture might consider adding this ability to the firmware to save a little math, at zero additional hardware cost. I tried a few experiments measuring a small distance on wire and it seemed to get down to 10s of microohms. It’s also a scpi over usb controllable meter and power supply and a little program could also be written to do the ohms law math while automatically setting things.

This supply seems to work pretty well. The time-graph of voltage and current is a really nice feature, but the LCD's viewing angle is limited, so if you have it on the bench and you are standing over it, it's hard to see it until you crouch to bring your eye level down to the display. It is slightly taller than my other bench supplies -- if it was another 5mm shorter, it would clear my stereo microscope head, which all my other supplies do, when I swing the head around on my bench. A minor annoyance for me, but probably a non-issue for most people. The multimeter function is convenient. I'm not ready to give up my handheld meters because they are more maneuverable, but having a bench meter always at the ready is nice.

Controls are not intuitive.Very difficult to use.F1 2 3 4 are not memory recalls, they are functions to call to bring up a list of preset that you can chose from.Biggest problem is how small it is.If this was supposed to be a BENCH power supply and a multimeter, why everything is so small ?Returning because its not practical.

At the moment of change to measure voltage it needs to unplug and plug again the connector so the device can detect the change and start the measurement. if that procedure is not done the device will not

This is a power supply / multimeter combo, and functionally speaking, I found it to work well at both things. Voltage seemed pretty stable and accurate, though I didn't really push it hard being only a 5A power supply, it's not something anyone will be using as a "workhorse".My only complaints were the budget capacitors it's made with, and it comes completely devoid of any alligator clips for the power supply. Multimeter test leads, it came with, and they're pretty decent, at that. But alligator clips for the power supply, which 99% of them come with, are missing here for some reason. So if you're buying this for its power supply capabilities (and who wouldn't be), don't forget to order yourself a set of alligator clips to use if you don't already have some.4 stars.

Output specification of 30V 10A was achieved without any problem, work as expected. Built-in DMM is an interesting and special feature. Love it .It is indeed a compact size and lightweight, and doesn't take up much space on my workbench. The instructions on the buttons are not very intuitive and it takes a little time to learn how to use, you will get started quickly! It is versatile and suitable for professionals and hobbyists alike!Good price, nice performance, highly recommend.

I was struggling with the idea of ordering a $400 s**lent benchtop power supply to match my scope, so I decided to see what the best of the discount options were, and the OWON SPM6103 is what I found.Things I was told to scrutinize with these: noise, accuracy, precision of voltage and current settings. Seems like a winner on all three points. In the photo I provided, I am using a microcontroller-based battery discharger to load the SPM6103. I had to get the load up to 6A before the fan came on, and it was barely audible.I'm really pleased with the value. It comes with everything you'd want including a spare fuse.My main feedback would be to make the display viewable from a wider angle and increase the size of the voltage and current inputs as they are quite small. It is a challenge to see the cursor. I would sacrifice one of the function/memory slots for this - three is enough. I need +1.0 reading glasses and was able to manage. It was usable in a brightly lit room. Ergonomically, you might struggle to use this day to day if it was not mounted at eye level, like in the hutch above your bench which is typical.
