Very high quality - works great as my outdoor satellite internet cabinet. Very pleased with the design (should be rain resistant) and the flexible panel mounting options.

Summary:The Namunanee equipment junction box is high quality and versatile. Its heavy-duty metal construction, keyed lock, and weather-tight seal make it ideal for use in harsh weather conditions. The mounting hardware is good quality and flexible for different setups. The interior capacity exceeded my expectations, providing great flexibility for accommodating various configurations and user components. The thermal protection, supported by the light color finish, 4-inch cooling fan with adjustable thermostat, and power supply, further enhances its value. I highly recommend this junction box for its flexibility, capacity, and performance.Details:We live in a rural area with poor wireless service coverage and no ground-based broadband access. Our internet options were limited to satellite providers that couldn't handle Wi-Fi calling or IoT devices. However, after upgrading to a new satellite provider with improved performance, we were able to expand our network reach and finally enhance our phone service beyond the “magic wall of calls" (insert grumbles about our wireless provider here). This is where the Namunanee equipment junction box came in handy.Upon first inspection, the junction box—more like a utility cabinet—is built like a tank. The structure and door are solid, offering secure protection for all the equipment inside. The lock mechanism tightly seals the door, and there's a grounding strap and a provision for a tamper switch. Wire entry is through a rubber grommet at the bottom, which forms a snug seal around various wire sizes. For larger installations, the grommet can be removed, and conduit can be attached. The cooling fan and adjustable thermostat help protect electronic devices from overheating due to direct solar exposure. The power supply has enough capacity to support an additional fan if necessary. The interior mounting options are flexible, allowing me to easily adjust the placement of the fan, power supply, and equipment shelf. The fan can also be swapped between intake and exhaust sides for better airflow. We installed this box outdoors to house a tri-band mesh network node, exposed to Colorado’s severe weather. The interior space was more than enough for all our equipment, with extra room for adding more IoT devices. The only drawback is that the metal cabinet slightly reduces the range of the MESH node, compared to plastic alternatives. This junction box is heavy—so plan ahead for installation. My first attempt at mounting it solo led to a quick retreat. If possible, have a second person to assist when hoisting it into place. We used the included wall-mount hardware, but the kit also provides pole-mounting and shelf-mounting options. An added bonus: the junction box is equipped with insect screens over the vent ports, protecting the interior from insects, including mud wasps (a.k.a. "Flying Jack-Wagons"). As someone who’s lost electronics to insect nests, I’m excited to have this extra protection. There was no sign of moisture after a storm, and the box remained cool under direct sunlight thanks to the fan and paint finish. One recommendation: If you’re installing this box outdoors in an area prone to lightning, ensure you use proper grounding materials and surge protection.Bottom Line:The Namunanee equipment junction box offers excellent value, combining quality construction and durable materials to protect your equipment. It features strong weather seals, adjustable cooling, and flexible mounting options, all within a large-capacity cabinet. Built to withstand extreme weather, this junction box is a reliable long-term solution. I highly recommend it!Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Good:-Massive box capable of housing routers, some smaller solar inverters, and multiple SBCs.-Air vents are on the side and point in one direction (which is to say you can be sure rain won't come in via the vents).-A spare key is included with the box.-You can easily bypass the rectifier and run the thermostat and fan off 12V DC.-Thermostat has a wide temperature trigger range, going from 32F up to 140F (all in Celsius, of course).-The fan moves quite a lot of air, and this offers me peace of mind. I haven't decided if I want to put a smaller 12V LiFePO4 battery in it (I have some extra space in my setup), but with the white paint, thermostat-controlled fan, and sturdy construction, it seems very viable to me.-Many spots to secure equipment and auxiliary equipment inside.-The screws were tightened appropriately; not difficult to unscrew.Neutral:-Only one pre-drilled outlet.-The key design doesn't offer much security except against animals and young kids; it's more of a "please don't open this" signal. Maybe place some high-voltage warning stickers on it for better security.Bad:-Neither the AC nor DC cables are of particularly great quality. I accidentally tore off one of the wires while moving the thermostat to inspect it, without much force. On the plus side, these are easy to replace with stuff I trust.-The key latch is a bit hard to turn and grinds the internal metal/paint.-The first time I was shipped this, it was missing the rectifier, thermostat, and fan inside. Amazon. quickly dispatched a replacement, but this fellow's fairly large and heavy to lug around.-The replacement's fan rattled loudly while on and needed some adjustments..Overall, better than I expected, and I expect the box to hold up for a decade or so just fine. It's easy to work with and has plenty of mounting methods to move and repurpose as I please over the years.

Heavy, solid, weatherproof box. Comes with various mounting options. The built-in cooling fan and thermostat is a great addition.

study case with a couple of mounting options. the 'locking' mechanism is not actually keyed but uses a generic 1/4 turn type latch. The back interior panel can be removed for work outside the case

I used this box to hold my network devices outside of the house. Super durable! Lots of ways to attach devices inside. Super happy with it so far, just a little expensive.

The build quality is excellent. Installation was pretty straightforward, though instructions would have been nice. I wish this had a more substantial lock.
