This outdoor dimmer outlet is perfect for if you have string lights on your patio and not hooked up to any dimmer or timer switches! This makes a convenient way to have dimming abilities, adjust brightness, and have a timer to setup if you don't want to mess with turning on and off manually! Tested and works great for our setup and though it's a lazy convenience, it's a great value as it works as it should and has 3 outlet connections on it making this a great hub so to speak! Would recommend!

When I bought my string lights, and installed them I thought wow these are too bright and I hate them. Then I realized you could buy this and have a dimmer. Not only does it work great it has a remote, so now we're not unplugging the lights when we're done. It also has a timer which we haven't used yet, but definitely will. A great purchase.

This isn't what I thought it was when I ordered it but I have tested it out with lights at the shop and it works just like it's supposed to. Not sure how much use I'll get from the dimmer part of it but as a remote control on/off switch it works great.

I ordered this Dimmer Switch thinking I would be able to use it on my non dimming outdoor string lights in my backyard. I thought I'd be able to plug them in and leave it on my patio for the summer. However, according to the manual and the box, these are only IP44 which means it really shouldn't get wet or rained on, and it's apparently only meant to be used with lights that are already dimmable. I don't mean to be dense, but why would I need a dimmable plug if the lights themselves were already dimmable? In light of these facts I'm not sure how useful this device will be to me.It does seem made well, has space for 3 outlets, and comes with a remote control, so that would be useful if I was just using it for a special occasion, was sure the evening would be rain free, and wanted to be able to control the lights and dimming them from a distance. It also has a timer for 2/4/6/8 hours so if you wanted them to go off on their own this makes that possible. However, this doesn't seem to be a device that you could just plug your lights in, make them dimmable, and leave it for the summer or holiday season. So be aware of this devices limitations and only purchase if it suits your needs.

One Unit works well but if using two units together, the remotes are on the same frequency and cannot be individually resettable. Therefore you cannot control each output separately, but dimming or adjusting one with one remote will also adjust the second unit.

This unit is well design in appearance and function and comes with a handy remote for controlling your outdoor lighting without having to go outdoors or to multiple light switches throughout your house. It definitely is capable of what it says it can do, but reading some of the requirements/recommendations have me enough pause to pull a star. First the want it mounted facing down. Okay, I kind of understand this as they don’t want things flowing into the plugs, but perhaps some rubber inserts so we could at least be mounted level. The next was they wanted it 1.4m off the ground. Well, that means at least a 3 foot extension cord as any place I’ve lived the outlets are usually around not far above ground level. These extra steps, that may or not be necessary knock down the usefulness of the system. They include some solid warnings of making sure the lights can be dimmed, which is important, particularly with LEDs. Just the other warnings give me concerns about the weather durability of the unit. Again, rubber plugs could probably have cheaply solved this issue.
