This dimmer is a fantastic upgrade for outdoor string lights! It's easy to use with a handy remote, and the timer feature works really well. Plus, it's waterproof, so it can handle the weather without any problems. It’s ideal for setting a warm and inviting atmosphere in your backyard.

I use this for my patio string lights which I has set to be dimmed and come on for 4 hours every evening. This timer not only remembers what time of day to turn the lights back on and off (with no programming) but it remembers how much I have them dimmed down as well. It has 2 outlets for multiple lights or devices and the remote is very simple to understand. Basically I just hit the 4 hour button at 8pm one night and now it comes on every night at the same time for 4 hrs.. That simple.

The Outdoor Dimmer for String Lights is a fantastic addition to my outdoor setup! This remote control plug-in allows me to easily adjust the brightness of my lights, creating the perfect ambiance for any occasion. With its waterproof design, I don’t have to worry about the elements damaging it. The two outlets are a great feature, accommodating multiple light strings without hassle. I especially love the timer settings—2H, 4H, 6H, and 8H—making it easy to automate my lighting. Overall, this dimmer has enhanced my outdoor experience, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to control their outdoor lighting effectively!

This item is perfect for outdoor light control. It has a solid build and works flawlessly. I tested it out by connecting it to some dimmable LED string lights, and it dims and controls the light just fine. I love that it has a timer function in addition to remote control and dimming. Make sure the LED lights you connect this to are actually dimmable; lots are not. This will be my new control for my holiday lights since I can now set the timer and not keep waking up the next day realizing I forgot to turn them off lol.

I got this for my outdoor holiday decorations but seeing that it is August, I tried it inside with a tower fan I had in the living room. The remote was already linked to the timer and I was able to quickly select an amount of hours before I wanted the fan turned off. I selected two hours and the timer worked as designed and shut the fan off. The dimming feature can also be controlled from the remote control.

I have a half dozen sets of lights that require a phone app not only for advanced functions, but simple ones as well. Once set, I rarely want to change more than brightness and perhaps time lit, and I don't want a half dozen different apps cluttering up my phone to do so. So the simpleness of this dimmer/time/power control is most welcomed. That it does this for two sets is a real plus, because extended runs along the eaves often requires more than one string of lights. This way I can deal with them simultaneously. It just does its job, with no learning curve or electronic set up.

Ordered this as a solution to the problem we had with our newly installed patio lights. Our lights were advertised as dimmable but didn't come with a remote or switch to control that function. We really desired a remote so that we could easily turn the lights on and off from inside our home. The dimming aspect on the remote is also a plus for our situation. Bring able to go from 100% to 25% creates a relaxing atmosphere. I do feel that this product is overpriced for what it is. The plug and cord is nice but the remote is very cheap. Maybe a $10- $13 price range instead of $20 would seem more appropriate.
