Not only does the remote did everything I hoped for, I have to give praise for the company. They went above and beyond the call of duty in customer service. I wish I could put a ">" (greater than) sign with the 5 stars.

I like the product very much when it worked. At some point it stopped working and I let the manufacturer know and to my delight, they sent me a replacement with few questions asked. I use the lights on a very large patio porch on my house. Unfortunately, the second one r the sent me worked fine until we had a rainstorm and even thought the dimmer was under the roof it stopped working like the first one.Because I enjoy the product so much, I ordered, received and paid for a new replacement that I am saving for summer when there is no rain. In the meantime, I put the lights on a timer which works but not nearly as flexible and cool.Kudos to the manufacturer for trying to please…Sincerely. Max B

I installed a few strings of fun LED lights under our patio cover and along the top of our glass fence. I love the lights but they are quite bright. I looked on Amazon and found this timer. You can dim the lights down to 25% of full brightness, which is fantastic. You can also dim at 50% and 75%. The remote control that comes with the dimmable timer makes it easy to turn the lights on & off at any time from indoors & if you want, you can push a button on the remote for them to turn off after 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, or 4 hours. There is no way to set an “on” time or an “off” time like standard timers, but that is definitely not a dealbreaker. You either use the remote to turn the lights on for however you want, and then turn them off, or use the remote to have them turn off 1-4 hours after you turn them on. The timer is super easy to install—just plug the strand of lights (or an extension cord) into the timer, and then the timer into the outlet.

My Newpow Outdoor Dimmer is a great device. All of the functions are found on the remote control ranging from 4 brightness levels, to multiple off-settings. I wa able to find a waterproof extention cord cover that the device fits nicely in with the extention cord attached. Additionally, when contacting Newpow Customer Service with questions about the remote control, they exceeded my expectations (extremely excessible and helpful). Great company to purchase from.UPDATED REVIEW: I spoke with a NewPow customer service desk twice, first to ask if I could purchase a second remote in case the very small and fragile one provide got lost or damaged. At that time I was told to call back because they were out of stock. When I called back weeks later the customer service rep stated he would send another device out to me "Free of Cost" thus the glowing review above. Now NewPow is charging me for a second unit! What kind of business rule is that? NewPow if you are reading this I'll send the unit back but your customers service model is broken be it training or your record keeping. It's disgraceful!

What a lifesaver. My outdoor lights weren’t getting used because the plug was on the outside of the house, which was a long walk from our actual hangout backyard area. We had a long extension cord running to the plug, but it was just a pain.I got this out of the box and plugged it right into that extension cord. Install was 20 seconds. I no longer have to go outside to turn on the lights if I want to enjoy on a rainy day, or just put them on a timer for dinners. I keep the remote next a window closest to the plug where this is being used. The remote is used about 20ft away from the plug, and through a window has no issues. The dimmer buttons are like 50% , 25% kinda deal, not a manual dial kind. Seems to work fine with my outdoor solar lights from Costco. Though I wouldn’t say there is much difference between them.. all look about 50 percent to me.Can’t speak to the Alexa feature though, not interested in that using it- the remote is simple and effective for me.

Purchased this dimmer to replace prior model (in aluminum casing) with a memory function that was becoming erratic and turning on at various times of day instead of always at the same time. The memory function (24 hour countdown clock) for turning on the lights at the same time of day does not work as advertised on this model. Newpow customer service confirmed that the memory function does not work as advertised and told me to return it to Amazon. So I returned and reinstalled the old dimmer - after all a memory function that is erratic and occasionally works is better than not working at all. Other than that , the dimmer works well to turn on and off the lights and change the brightness, so long as you don't need a memory function to turn on at the same time of day. Does turn off at prescribed intervals, though with longer evenings in the winter it would be useful to have options for 6 and 8 hour intervals.
