This item worked well at holding the string lights. The setup took a little longer than expected, but overall, the item works.

I was trying to put string lights in my yard, but I could not find a way to use the existing trees, fence and house to make it look decent and be high enough to walk under. These poles were the perfect solution! Each pole consists of 6 sections that you screw together. This gives you some options. 10 feet is pretty tall, and ultimately I decided to remove one section to make them a little lower. That looked better to me. I like that the cord holder on the top has a heart shape instead of a U shape. It not only looks nicer, it also holds the cords more securely. Easy to install with 5 ground spikes. They also include screws and clips in case you want to mount it to a wall or fence. My setup is very stable so I didn’t use the stabilizer rods. I’ll consider adding them if I need to in the future. Very pleased!

Very light weight and easy to assemble. Getting them into the ground took some effort but I feel like the spikes are a good length and are secure.I tried to use them about 50 ft apart and that didn’t work so well. I moved to about 20 ft apart and it’s much better.Great value for the money.

This pair of string light poles are kinda brilliant. This set allows me the luxury of using them as free standing poles or if I want to attach them to the decking posts on my deck, I can. This pair of poles arrive in sections that you simply screw together. Each pole is very tall, they will easily lift string lights up and out of your hair. Each pole screws together in sections, the metal sections are nicely made, each piece screws together creating a secure connection. I have seen some of these kinds of string poles where only some sections will screw together securely. This pair of string light poles are well made, they look and feel like a quality product. This kit allows you to attach a claw base to each pole if you want them to be free standing. The kit also includes all the hardware so you can screw each pole to a wooden decking post. To have this kind of choice in the same kit I think is great. I am delighted I was able to get this pair of string light poles, they look good, they are very sturdy and they are very tall. They keep my string lights up and out of my hair, and they look good while doing it.

Got these to run some solar lights in our backyard and these worked reasonably well so far with a minor adjustment: I originally installed them free-standing, but they bent more than I was comfortable with as I was getting the lights set up, so to be on the safe side I slightly changed their positioning so I could brace them against a ledge and that seems to be keeping them reasonably straight now. Not sure if this was a structural failure concern or not (or maybe just user error in installation?), but decided I would just play it safe...Overall though these look fairly nice and plant in the ground well, so I will keep using them. Will update review if any further issues arise, but so far I would give them an optimistic 4*

I installed these over the weekend and let’s just say if you try to hang the line taunt they will not work great I have them anchored solidly into the ground, but the cheap Chinese manufacturing did not allow for the fittings all to tight down tight so the threads are loose, which means when you pull the line tight and the pole They include a stabilizer in the box, but that does not work very well either because it is dependent on a single bolt stabilizer attached to the pole, which does not completely clamp down on the pole. Overall, these are not worth the price that you were paying to get what you want

These are great for elevating your string lights off the ground. They're pretty easy to put together and the stakes hold them into the ground well. The issue I have run into is that they don't bear weight or tension well. I find that I need to add tension to the lights to raise them and when you do that, these will bow. They just aren't strong enough. They are hollow. I had one bend to the point of snapping. What I ended up doing was buying pipe brackets and mounting them to the fence for added support. But you can't always do that. These aren't worse than any others, it's just a shame that all of the various brands of these are so fragile. That said, I really couldn't do without them and these work just fine if you know what you're getting into.
