We had some taller posts that had lights on them lean as they were in the sand and not able to be anchored into it very well. I added these braces to a couple of the posts and the posts seem to be holding straight up and down like they should and are not leaning at all. These support guides are very adaptable to different size poles and easy to use.

Review of XDW-GIFTS Support Rods for Outdoor String Light Poles, 3.7FT Portable Rustproof Steel Support Rod, 0.5” Pipe OD with 1” Loop, for String Light Poles, 2 PackQuality:Not bad. The coating on the rods is good, threads are fair. Loop attaches well.Impressions:This is a clever idea in case you need to add some support to light poles. They make adjustable angles to help prevent tipping or wiggling. The poles are quite thick and sturdy. The base would easily penetrate most soils and I don't see it bending without a lot of force. The very top is flat enough for hammering in but it's best protected with a scrap of wood. The three sections thread together. Once pole went together all the way so it's nice and tight. The other had a small gap between the sections (less than in the photo, perhaps a millimeter or two. Not ideal but not awful. The threads looked a little rough but all things considered the poles went together pretty well. The loop will accommodate a 1" pole so you have some flexibility.I think this has a lot of uses beyond light poles. The sections hold together well enough and the bottom point is quite easy to inert in most soil types and the removable/replaceable loop is makes the set very handy. I have a lot of decorations for the holidays and we get a fair amount of wind so I'm always securing everything to the ground with some combination of pound-in fence posts, rebar and wire or cable ties. There are a couple of Christmas trees that could benefit from these poles. I'm planning to pound it in vertically next to the center pole and use the loop around the pole between the branches to keep it from blowing over or lifting up. They could also support larger airblown decorations. The bottom section is quite sturdy and would hold up better than the plastic stakes. The more I think of it, the more I'm liking how these supports will work. I think with a little creativity they'd serve many purposes in the landscape.
