Works perfect! I have used this to set the gains on 4 different systems. Works perfect! Worth every penny.

Purchased this unit to set factory deck, line output and gain levels. Works as stated and worked well. Stereo is loud, clean and undistorted. Arrived quickly as well.

Not bad for a cheap handheld oscilloscope but it's just a pre-assembled DIY kit thats been around for a while -- the construction is rather fragile and you may need to tighten the screws down -- all-in-all not a terrible starter oscilloscope that requires an external power source (make sure the barrel jack actually fits!) but at least it uses a standard BNC connector (which is somewhat loose). The lack of upgradable firmware is annoying as most models nowadays -- even cheap ones-- have this feature.

I used this to tune my sound system in my car. It shows when your sound is clipping. It's definitely a must have tool. Nicely built great value for the money. It's size is small and compact. Very easy to read. Seems to be very accurate as well. Is versatility is good for subwoofer amps and even door speakers.

This is the second one of these handheld scopes I have purchased (the first one was exactly the same, but a different brand). I purchased these because I just wanted a small handheld tool for troubleshooting that provides more information than a VOM or DVM. For this, these work rather well, especially for an oscilloscope that costs less than $50.PROS: Small, inexpensive basic oscilloscope that works reasonably well. Trigger works well on either rising or falling signals; auto, normal, and single trigger work well. The display has sufficient resolution for reasonably faithful representation of signals. I also purchased a 9V battery adapter cable, so I have true handheld portability.CONS: 1. This particular unit has a sufficiently high input capacitance that I am unable to properly compensate the cheap 60 MHz oscilloscope probe that I had purchased to use with this scope. 200 MHz scope probes will not compensate for this high input capacitance. So, the amplitude of any signal (or signal harmonic) greater than possibly 10 kHz will be incorrect. (I was able to compensate the same model 60 MHz probe on the first oscilloscope that I had purchased.) Since I am interested in troubleshooting signals of lower frequency than 10 kHz, this error does not bother or invalidate my troubleshooting, but it is a bit irksome.2. The screen is much too small to make accurate voltage measurements.3. The numbers on the screen get in the way of voltage measurements. I have yet to figure out how to shut off the numbers displayed.Allow me to repeat that I purchased these solely for the purpose of troubleshooting, for which I require neither high bandwidth nor high accuracy. For those applications for which I require high bandwidth or high accuracy, I have other oscilloscopes to use. However, for those who need accuracy and higher bandwidth, these will not work well. Thus, I assign a rating of 4 stars rather than 5 stars. But then, one should not expect high accuracy and high bandwidth for an oscilloscope that is this inexpensive.

I used this to tune the gain on my car audio amplifier and it worked great!!! Be careful though, these are made cheaply, so just handle them with care and don't be rough. I pushed on the top button too hard and it broke; but customer service was quick and awesome to fix the issue. The only other complaint I have is the manual; the English in it is very poor. I would be okay with this, but the first thing it suggests that you do is calibrate the oscilloscope. With instructions translated so poorly, there's no real way to understand how to do it without experimenting and you still won't know if you did it correctly. Besides these two things, you're buying an oscilloscope for around $35 to $40 with free shipping - you get what you pay for. I just really wish the manual was translated better.

This is a great little oscilloscope! Pleasantly surprised with how much I can do with such a small amount of money for such a basic single-channel scope. I ran some tests using a 555 in monostable, astable and an astable PWM circuit (pulse width modulation.) I had no problems picking up my input or output trigger pulse in monostable mode, astable worked great as did viewing the PWM. The signals on pin 2 and pin 3 of the 555 were as they should be on all circuits. The alligator clip connectors it comes with are fine for beginners and basic stuff, hooking a normal BNC connector probe works great as well. The only issues I ran into were things get a little glitchy when you're viewing things at really large time divisions (i.e. 20s or the max of 500s per division...but I don't think I've ever really used any scope in that range) and I also had to trim a little bit of the molded rubber off the power cable so it would properly reach all the way in.. All in all, very with happy with the purchase! Look into a longer cord power cord or convert it to battery power as the cable is short, but none of these would prevent me from purchasing it again or returning it. You CAN adjust the horizontal and vertical position of the line (has a fast and slow pan mode for each axis), the DC filter for AC mode works great, the duty cycle, Peak voltage, frequency, etc. are quite accurate as well. Will be great for portable use and/or 95% of the time when you really don't need to have out your main scope. I got the fully assembled version, as the price difference wasn't enough to worry about assembling anything. Just remember to read the instructions and/or find a good tutorial so you can see everything it is actually capable of. Great purchase!
