I bought this because I wanted to verify the signal coming off my camshaft position sensor on my jeep and didn't want to spend > $100 on a tool I would seldom use. Spoiler alert, I haven't used it for much else but it absolutely worked for my purposes and I'm quite happy with it.The instructions were probably not written by a native english speaker and were hard to follow/quasi-contradictory in some places, and didn't really explain what the calibration steps were doing. I have a degree in physics so I've used this sort of equipment before, and fell back on the basics to calibrate it against a known 5V source. From there I was able to use it for what I wanted, but I would expect that a lot of people would just get frustrated & give up.

Had 0 hope for what this product could do, but to my surprise, it worked as expected for my pet projects. Don’t expect it to do what expensive equipment can provide but if you want a handy device and your error margin is okay, this is a great product. In fact this may be a great gift to any Stem inclined teenagers!Good investment.

It works well I think it’s great for adults and kids trying to learn electrical engineering.

Pretty good for the price, you get what you pay for. Gets the job done but very inconvenient that it needs to be plugged in to an outlet to work.

Came without a power supply. Cannot be used with 120V. No instructions. Just a scope in a bag and a single lead. No way to turn it in. For $40? I think not.

It functioned s described, it arrived early, easy to learn.I would have preferred option to purchase power adapter when I bought it.I had to wire 9v adapter to use it right away.

Ok, so I didn't do my due diligence on this and it didn't do what I needed - my fault. I am trying to do some debugging on ESP32 / NeoPixel (WS2812B) leds and 200Khz just won't cut it (it's 800 khz). So, I ended up buying a 5Mhz rechargeable for only a few dollars more. Make double sure your frequency isn't higher than 200khz (most things are) before buying this scope.

I knew that I did not want to spend time assembling this scope when I received it. I wanted to hook it up and use it immediately, so I ordered this one that came fully assembled. Not only that, but it came with a 9 volt power supply that is needed to operate it. Also supplied is a 10:1 probe as well as the 1:1 probe with clip leads. It works great for what I need at this time.I have noticed two minor problems: When I change the triggering settings when I am looking at a waveform, the scope sometimes locks up. This seems to be a software problem. Turning the scope off and then on restores normal operation. The other problem is with the included 10:1 probe. There is an adjustment capacitor at the BNC connector that is adjusted to view the scope's internal waveform generator into a perfect square wave when it is set for 10X. I am not able to make the leading edge of the square wave high enough. Normally, the adjustment will go from too low to too high and is set to show a perfect square wave. Not being able to bring the leading edge high enough will manifest itself as high frequency roll-off when I am taking measurements. I am not sure whether it is the probe, or if the scope's input impedance is causing the problem. I will have to borrow another scope probe to find out. When the probe is set for 1X, the waveform is a perfect square wave as it should be.As far as portability goes, this oscilloscope cannot be beat because it will fit into a shirt pocket. Being a retired electronics engineer/technician, it is just what I needed for general troubleshooting up to 200KHz.Update: I have discovered that the firmware in the scope is very old and needs to be updated. I am going to contact the seller to see if I can get the new firmware file.
