I have used a few different styles of OSCARBIDE inserts and have no complaints. I only machine aluminum, so I can’t vouch for use on any other materials, but for a hobby machinist these seem to be a great product for the money.

I use these bits a lot - especially turning on hot rolled steel. They produce a surprisingly good finish compared to other carbide inserts but (of course) not as smooth as you can get from a sharp HSS turning bit - but close.
