The sling itself is a great surplus piece. The ends however, are not so good. I am not sure what the ends are made of but they were so stiff they were useless. By the time I got them apart, they were trash. I made my own ends from some leather strips and used the sling. It turned out nice. For the price I would say this one was a dud!

Great canvas material and metal hoops at the ends. The only thing I didn’t like was the faux leather ends they put on it. Now I got the second option because the first choice with real leather ends was sold out(real leather confirmed in reviews). The ends I had were stiff as a board and could hardly be pushed on to retaining rivet. So I just made my own leather ends to replace them. Overall happy with my purchase. Hard to beat for $10.

Well, this item is as expected, evwn though the leather part seems not too strong. Considering the price, nothing much to complain.

It is clearly said on the label - “artificial leather ends” . How the original military sling from 80s or earlier may have an artificial leather ends? Not an “original” product, as advertised.
