Works wonderlful in my plug and play 3.5 5/1/4 socket slot for hot swap. Socket for the SSD is very tight and I don't even use the mounting screws for it. Just plug it in and copy data. My bios supports hot swapping.

Well-designed holster for your 2.5-inch SSD. All needed screws are provided for mounting your drive into the adapter and adapter into a PC chassis. Its nicely sculpted composite construction is especially noteworthy; no cheap tin to cut your fingers! A very good buy.

Product is as described and arrived on time. Sata plug alignment was perfect. Fits in the hdd cage well. Provided screws are a bit bulky for the cage, so I used the old hdd screws. Can be improved in that regard.

Used to install a 2.5" SSD SATA drive in a Dell Vostro desktop. I first tried a different product but it was not compatible with the Dell hard drive carrier as the carrier prevented the SATA cables from being attached.The Orico adapter has an offset connector that places the computer connection in the same physical location as the original 3.5". All parts installed perfectly.Adding another connector in series creates another potential failure point but time will tell if this will become a problem. The tray is made of a hard plastic with brass inserts for the screws. Being plastic, it will not conduct away heat as well as a metal adapter would but so far the SSD monitor shows the operating temperature being normal.
