If your looking for a product like this you already know what your looking for. And there are few products that work this well. I’ve had small issues having it connect at times I just found plugging it all in. And then unplugging the power for a few seconds and plugging it in fixes it. This thing has been an absolute life safer for my servers and great to stream a game or video in another room. The power over Ethernet works great even over long distances. Zero issues with the power over Ethernet which I was concerned about. And the power over Ethernet can be powered from either end. I plan to buy more for my home.

Purchased this for my golf simulator. The PC is in the house, and the projector is in the garage. This extender works perfectly for the HDMI connection as well as the USB connection for the keyboard and mouse.

Originally the device worked great and picture was clear. However, after only using it maybe once a week for 3 months the device no longer works. The ethernet port lights of green, but no data is being transferred (yellow light doesn't blink). Tried using different Ethernet cables, HDMI cables, computers, monitors, etc. Also tried to fully reboot it multiple times without it working. Even left it shut off for a whole day and plugged it back in to no avail.Currently just an expensive paper weight. Would not recommend.

These work as expected which is great. Wireless keyboard dongles must be plugged directly into the unit (a USB hub will not work). I was also unable to get an Elgato Streamdeck Plus to work on the far side. Ive tested the Streamdeck positively on a USB 2.0 connection so Im assuming the device only supports USB 1.0. Oh well. Still really good for what it is. 60hz 4k with 4096x2160 television worked as expected. Was able to extract audio and plug in speakers on the far side. Audio quality was fine. They make another more expensive unit (~$250 USD) that passes USB2.0 but does not have an audio output jack. UHD-EXB400UR-K . Detchnically you could then use a Streamdeck+ and buy a cheap USB to headphone dongle and get the functionality I was hoping for. Would also need to test a USB hub so I could also throw in my keyboard and mouse.

Works like charm. However beware that the product works with CAT 6/7 Cable only as per the specifications. If you happen to have a CAT 5e cable It won't work over few meters. I have been using a CAT 6 Cable for approx 30 Meters and it works. Absolutely no lag. Mouse and Keyboard also work fine.

I finally found the perfect way to stream my PC directly to my TV! I set up a server in my other room, but it was a pain to install an HDMI cable from there to my bedroom. Luckily, there was already a LAN cable installed, and this product worked great. I tried some cheap TX-RX transmitters, but none of them worked because my TV is HDCP compliant. There are different models available, some of which are cheaper than this one, but I chose this one because it also has USB passthrough so I can connect my Keyboard/Mouse/Gamepad to it, and also stream 4K at 60 frames per second. My stream is working without any lags, but there’s some flickering on the TV. Maybe it’s because of the HDMI cable and I need to replace it.Otherwise, this product is worth the price and highly recommended!

My goal was to use my computer in two places. It's one part convenience (I can work inside or in the detached office), part insurance (I can keep the expensive hardware in the house, far from rental clients), and part functionality (the tower won't be adding any fan noise to my recording studio audio). I have identical 4K monitors in both locations, with a 100 ft. Cat7 cable between them.At first, I couldn't figure out why the screen was blacking out randomly for a few seconds at a time. I thought maybe the CAT cable wasn't keeping up with video, control, and audio simultaneously, or it was a shielding issue (based on other comments). After troubleshooting everything I could think of, I got new HDMI cables that I knew would be version 2.1. That made the blacking out go away and now it's working flawlessly. So, make sure to try that, if you're having issues. An HDMI is a CAT cable with a different connector; a cheap one might not keep up with 4K/60.There are no drivers to install and the housing and ports all appear solid. Overall, I'm satisfied with the money saved over more expensive options. If you have the money and don't want any hassle, maybe a more expensive one would be better. But, they might all have the same quirks.

I bought this KVM thinking it can do over ip but to my dismay it will only worked via one cable that must support Poe as the power supply is at one end distributed to the other. Not too sure what case use for just one cat6 cable as I believe most getting kvm is precisely to make available control and command to the other end of the network. Perhaps it my fault but your description could have been clearer and of yes why no bold model number it will clue people in which one is getting

had some issues with it, it's overall an ok product but found that it cannot properly detect the 3440x1440 resolution but only 1920x1080 or 4k via hardware switches with wrong scaling.alos the wireless keyboard is typing all the characters wrong via kvm..

I got these for review and tested them in place of my old passive Monoprice HDMI Ethernet which didn’t support modern 4k standards and requires 2 Ethernet cables. I also had the Monoprice USB over Ethernet to connect my USB hub in front of my TV to my computer. This all means that the old setup required 3 Ethernet cables to connect my gaming PC in my office all the way to the TV in the living room.Note that this does NOT send HDMI over a network meaning you can’t and shouldn’t ever plug this into your router.Things I like:- KVM signal over 1 Ethernet cable- HDMI loop - meaning I don’t lose an output from my computer and can still connect a monitor locally to the PC- Locking power cable so it doesn’t accidentally get pulled- Only one side requires power - meaning more flexibility with how it’s installed- No noticeable latency- Two USB ports- Mounting bracketsThings I don’t like:- The USB ports are 1.1 so really only keyboard and mice work because of the slow speed of the standard, although I tried an older USB sound card and it did function properly. It would have been nice to support at least USB2.0 to be able to use something like a webcam.Overall the OREI HDMI over Ethernet product does a great job and can be used with your existing cabling.

I tried many other brands and none of them worked. This is the only brand that works and it works WELL. I am not noticing any loss of bandwidth. One thing to NOTE!!!You need to use PURE COPPER cable. Do not use CCA cable for power over ethernet!!!The exact CAT6 cable that I had used for this is listed as the following on amazon:trueCABLE Cat6 Riser (CMR), 1000ft, Black, 23AWG 4 Pair Solid Bare Copper, 550MHz, PoE++ (4PPoE), ETL Listed, Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP), Bulk Ethernet CableMake sure that the RJ45 connectors you get as well as the wall outlet jacks all support PoE. (Power over Ethernet)
