We were having troubles with the Binary ext. due to flickering and it was probably because that expensive thing was capped at around 300 ft, but this extender works better and can extend longer distances.

We needed this to set up our bar with the ability to send a video signal between 2 different television screens, its helpful when we need to get a camera feed for Bingo onto two tv's, or the lyrics for karaoke around the bar for folks to sing along with the performer on stage. The setup is stable and reliable!

Not the cheapest option to accomplish HDBaseT with a loopback, but they’re a super reliable company

We've used this once but it sent a perfect HD signal down a 50m cat 5e cable (with minimal delay)

Ordered/installed EX-500IR baluns to support the connection between my TV mounted over the fireplace and the communications box located in the entry closet. Uses RJ 45 cat 6 cable to connect the transmitter and the receiver. Easy installation. The HDMI signal extension provides a user and maintenance friendly solution with optimal picture quality.I trust this product will provide me a greater lifespan than the previous ones which failed after about 3 years.Price was substantially favorable, less than half the cost quoted by the cable company for replacing.

This unit was exactly what I needed to connect a computer to an overhead projector with HDMI over Ethernet in the middle of a large classroom. Worked great out of the box - easy to install. Would purchase again.

At first, I thought this product to be a bust like the others I have tested. I needed an HDMI over CAT solution that would provide audio extraction, and in the end this device delivered all around! I was prepared to write a bad review and make a return until I discovered that there was a bad HDMI cable in the chain that was allowing the 4K projector and my laptop to negotiate a signal that was too fast for it to transmit.Luckily, I thought to test with new cables, and have been very pleased to have a reliable signal again, with flawless delivery of any video signal (4K 60fps tested) and it's audio. This was a two-for-one solution as I had tested two audio extractors which both failed, and this device eliminates the need for seperate audio extraction. Thank you OREI!

I've had good luck with Orei HDMI extenders in the past but this one was a dud. The specs state it tranmits up to 500' over cat6. Both cable runs I tested this on were nowhere near 500' in length but I could not establish a connection. Both cable runs work just fine with a different model Orei hdmi extender. I would have bought the other model but it does not seem to be produced any longer.

I am now bumping my rating to 4 stars. I received an RMA to return (they wanted to test the device), and they FEDEXed (2 day) a replacement. It worked perfectly on start up. For context, I am going to leave my comments below. My attitude towards this company has changed for the good. I cannot go to 5 as this was a difficult process and it should not have had to be so. In their own few responses via email they admitted that their customer service is needing improvement. Lets see if they do that. Covid messed up a lot of companies in this respect. So grace is warranted. And to that fellow at ORei, thank you. I will call your tech line in a month ago to see if you have fixed that part. :)I am bumping up my review from 1 to 3 stars simply because I received a direct call from the company, and the fellow I dealt with was super nice. We agreed to a test overnite, if the test fails to resolve, he will replace the unit and research what was going on with the original. If the unit works, I'm all good and I will erase comments below and bump to 4 or 5 stars. Same if it does not work and they send me a new working unit. If the test proves its my cabling, same goes. I will leave comments below for context until resolved.I'll change my review if I hear back from ORei, but all day calling for 2 days is enough for me. No response to emails. Unit does not transmit eARC signals as advertised. A cheap 50 foot HDMI cable does a better job that this $400+ device. So disappointed. Basically, nobody should have to wait days for tech support. If this is the ORei model, they won't be around for long. Gonna call a reputable company like Crutchfield where I can actually get somebody to talk to me.

This is a well designed device. Perfect for my usecase where I have gaming consoles connected to my living room TV, but I also want to connect them to my projector in another room.Zero lag, so it's suitable for gaming. Now some cons:1. Apple TV 4:4:4 doesn't work, only 4:2:0 (not a big deal)2. --edit: not an issue, see bottom--3. High power consumption. This gets HOT, and uses around 18W of power when active. Even when it's inactive, it draws 10W of power and remains quite warm. Where I live, that's about an extra $1.50/mo on my power bill, so I put it into a smart plug to turn it off when not in use.Loopback works well. I noticed it can pass the EDID of either the loopback or the remote device, but it prefers the remote device. If the remote device is not connected, it will use the EDID of the loopback.Edit: review previously stated that 3D didn't work, but I was able to get it working after messing with my blu ray player's settings.Update: I've had this for several months and it continues to work well. Sometimes it needs to be restarted, but not a big deal. Updated rating from 4 to 5 stars.

It took me forever and a day to research HDMI-over-Ethernet extenders and I finally decided on the OREI HDBaseT. These are excellent devices. Well made and more than capable for my setup which consists of five 4K PoE surveillance cameras transmitting through a switch to my WiFi 6 router, then to my NVR and out to 2 monitors - one local for reviewing recorded video, the other at my front door which requires a 50’ Ethernet cable run through conduit in the floor. There is NO delay and NO degradation of image quality. The loop out feature was important to me for the local monitor and eliminated the need for a splitter. I upgraded my NVR, the HDMI cables, and the HDMI range extender at the same time to enhance processing speed and video quality. The result is a BIG improvement. Thank you OREI for making such a quality product.

Plain and simple, it works. Have a difficult set-up, with TV about 200 feet from AV closet and was wired in 2005 with Cat5 and coax so very difficult to keep up with newer technology. The cat5 also has three breaks on the way there, patch cords and wall plates. TV is on a fireplace so no way to run new cable without a massive undertaking. Anyway, have tried about six different products and this is by far the best. Worked immediately and perfect picture and no drop outs. Even better, just one power adapter at the source and none at the TV, so very clean install. Recommend highly.
