I originally ordered this Supertwist type of this brand but they accidentally sent me a different type, Square but the Square type has been pretty amazing for the past couple of summers. Been using it to trim and edge the yard and still have plenty of line left. It barely breaks.

I put about 12' on my Pulon Pro just to see how it was. Wow, this line is so strong. I did all around our main house, all around my studio, which is in the old house, around the pool, along some side walk and did not run out of line. If I had been using the old thin line I had I would have had to refill the spool at least 4 times. Worth every penny for this line.

I bought a spool of this for a fairly average sized yard (in Oklahoma suburbs), and a spool of this lasted me about a season + 1 month. I will say it is better than whatever string came with my EGO trimmer, but not by much for my uses.Full disclosure: I'm one of the guys that uses his trimmer as an edger, which is MUCH harder on your string than using it for it's intended purposes.As a trimmer, breakage was much less frequent. As an edger, it will break A LOT, and the color of this stuff makes it hard to see where you are going to be edging so it can look sloppy.I have since switched to a popular Amazon product that is orange square line on a 5 lb spool that comes in about 3x cheaper per foot and it's much sturdier for my applications and much easier to see.Being that I use it as an edger, take my review with a grain of salt, just something to be aware of if you use your trimmer as I do and are fairly hard on your string. This could be GREAT string for it's intended purposes, kind of like having summer tires on a car., but for me personally, I want a set of tires that are great all year round for multiple conditions, much like my trimmer (and edger, for me) string.

Lasts longer, cuts well, feeds easy and is quieter than any other line Iβve used in the past. Itβs actually much more durable as Iβve usually load a new line every forth time I garden. Now itβs about every sixteenth time. Canβt recommend this line enough. I use it in my Echo electric trimmer.

Trimmer line is a particularly frustrating product because you will inevitably end up changing it more often than you'd like. I bought this particular line after watching a Smarter Every Day Youtube video about the most effective types of trimmer line. The products with solid cores scored consistently better and the 'winner' was a solid core string with straight razor edges. This Oregon line does have a solid core but is a rounded, thinner feeling line that doesn't hold up very well against solid objects. Overall it is a very solid performer and much better than the standard store bought line.Pros:- Clean, precision cuts produce a nice manicured look to edges, etc.- Lightweight material is more efficient, uses less fuel, and allows some of the low-power trimmers to run at higher RPM.- Solid core provides slightly increases durability, especially when using only on green material.Cons- Still very easily broken against solid objects (rocks, fencing, trees, signs, metal posts). For a solid core product, I was surprised at how often I was changing the line still. Compared to cheap store-bought line I got maybe 20% better performance.
