An expensive piece of crap that did nothing. I tried it out on multiple records of varying static and none worked. One had very minimal static and after using it, it actually sounded worse... I wouldn't recommend this at all.

I have been using a 0 stat gun for a few years, but when I got the Orbit Static Remover, I was so surprised at how good it was built. Comparing to the static gun, this unit is in a whole different ballpark- a total upgraded product and truly stands out. The static gun can reduce static, but not able to completely remove it. However, the Orbit has proven to be a game-changer. I tested with 4 records that were thoroughly cleaned beforehand. It COMPLETELY removed all the noise that these records had given me in the past. I can hear a huge difference in the record, with zero static present. It gave me a listening experience that I simply thought was impossible. Exceptional!

It works. I opened a brand new record and cleaned it. Then I made the mistake of running the orbit first and then brushing. I introduced a bunch of static by not leaving the orbit until the last step before playing. A lot of clicks and pops. After realizing my mistake I played the first side again after brushing and using the orbit last. The difference was obvious and I will be making sure the orbit is my last step before playing from now on.

Static pops and annoying crackle seem to be vanquished - my vinyl just seems that much more cleaner and the music that much more clearer. Additionally, this machine (or whatever it is) couldn't be easier to use, just center it on the record label and let it spin. It's calibrated to rotate 10 times counter-clockwise, I let it go for 20 spins which seems to quiet the grooves that much more.New vinyl seems to benefit less from the HumminGuru but the older, used platters play and sound way better. One point to be sure of is that as effective as this is it should be used AFTER the record has been thoroughly cleaned using a decent vinyl cleaning process. I own a Pro-Ject VC-S machine and clean all my vinyl with Audio Intelligent Vinyl Solutions 3-step system: 1) #15 Record Cleaner (enzyme formula), 2) Super Cleaner Formula and finish off with 3) Ultra Pure Water (distilled rinse). As good as the Orbit is at removing static, it will be pointless to use on vinyl that has not been properly pre-treated. Overall, if you need the "next step" in making your LP collection that much more listenable - and don't have the funds to invest in an ultrasonic cleaning option - this is $300 well spent.

Expensive it is but it is also bloody amazing. It improves sound quality and lowers noise! Ease of use just press the button and it works itself. No holding this way or that. It was designed for a record and you can tell a genius spent a lot of time on it, the product is idiot proof. Expensive but worth every penny! also recommend you use the product on the turntable mat to clear it of static on first use too. No more platter mat stuck to record, wonderful.

I bought the HumminGuru Orbit on a whim after finally coming to terms with the fact that my Milty Zerostat anti-static gun had died. When I went searching for a replacement Zerostat, I learned that its price had increased from $75 to around $125, which is a lot of money to spend on something that has a limited lifespan. For me, the Zerostat provided about one year of noticeable difference when listening to vinyl records, followed by 2 years of diminishing returns, and finally no difference at all. I began looking at all of those $50-70 anti-static fans that they use in electronics manufacturing, before deciding to splurge on the Humminguru Orbit. At the time of me writing this, there's not a ton of information or reviews out there about this thing, so I'll give you my early honest feedback.TL;DR - It's an expensive, idiot-proof way to remove static from your vinyl records and improve your listening experience.I tested three records with the HumminGuru Orbit. All three were thoroughly cleaned prior to testing. All three were listened to through open-back headphones. The first record was manufactured in 1977. I've listened to it a lot in the last month, and even though I had cleaned it and hit it with the Zerostat gun in the past, it was giving me a lot of static pops. With the Zerostat, you can squeeze the trigger too quickly, or release it too quickly, or use it too close to your record, or too far away - there's just so many opportunities to screw it up. But with the Orbit, you just put it on the record and turn it on. Easy.But it IS insanely expensive and therefore difficult to recommend fully to someone who hasn't already invested thousands of dollars on their collection and equipment. It also takes a while for it to do it's thing. Each rotation on the record takes about 9 seconds, so you're looking at 90 seconds per side. It's not something that you'll have to do every time you play a record (as long as you store your records in anti-static sleeves), but it does keep you from doing the thing you're supposed to be doing - listening.But if money is no object and you're in the market for a device that will remove static from your records effectively and completely idiot-proof the process for you, then I highly recommend the HumminGuru Orbit.
