About this item

  • Clean Records as They Play - Add to your record player cleaning kit the Hudson Hi-Fi Anti Static Brush and enjoy hands-free cleaning while you listen to your favorite music. Without compromising tracking force or tonearm operation, our record cleaning brush arm will work its way from the outer edge of the LP to the inner grooves while in motion, removing dust before it hits the stylus.
  • Anti Static Record Brush for Sonic Clarity - Our vinyl cleaner brush is specially designed with carbon fiber bristles at the center for better anti-static decoupling. Say goodbye to pops and scratches even when playing old or frequently-used LPs, as this brush made with goat hair collects built-up static and allows it to travel to the grounding conductor.
  • Fully Adjustable Vinyl Record Cleaner - To make it a must-have in every record cleaning kit, we designed our vinyl record brush arm to fit every LP enthusiast's needs. While the record brush cleaner can fit various platter heights and easily conforms to your personal setup, we highly recommend setting a minimum internal lid height of 47mm for the best playing and cleaning experience.
  • Pro-Quality LP Cleaner for Vinyl Records - Made from sustainably sourced goat's hair bristles for a wider coverage, and gentler than other plastic or vinyl brush for records, our anti static brush arm is meant to reduce record & stylus wear. By reducing attraction of airborne dust and eliminating static, you can protect your vinyl collection and enjoy many years of high-fidelity listening with our vinyl record cleaning brush
  • High Fidelity Audio Accessories for Elevated Listening Experience - Our vinyl record cleaning kit and other LP care products are the result of a close collaboration between musicians, engineers, producers, designers, and Hi-Fi enthusiasts. This Record Cleaner allows me to enjoy my music without much static (no static). It cleans my records and moves with it. 10/10.

I was surprised how well this works for static in the winter. I tried lots of other options and this one is the easiest to setup and WORKS!

Just received today and had it on my turntable in a matter of minutes. Extremely easy set up and the product is well built. I did purchase the other brush arm that had two for the same price. I was very disappointed in that was of poor quality and didn’t work well at all, returned it and just bought this one. There is a major difference between this one and the other. I only played two records so far and the tracking was perfect and coincided with the tone arm. It definitely cleans Your records, helps with the pops and keeps your needle clean. Very happy with this and highly recommend it!UPDATE Its been a few days and I have played about 10 albums and it continues to work extremely well. The tracking of the arm is perfect and without a doubt the record and the stylus stay clean. This is a very good item and does the job! Only have good things to say about it.

Was sceptical till I bought one. It does make a difference in the reduction of static which causes pops while playing back old Vinyl records.

From the pure standpoint of tackling static, this arm works very well. I've got it so that it follows pretty close to the stylus without impeding it at all. I don't know if that has been the secret sauce, but it has helped tremendously and the historical problem of static I've had has gotten much better. The only thing that I don't like about it is that the bristles seem to leave a unique dust mark each time it's used. It's an odd thing for a brush to do but the effect of it is good enough to look past it.

Took under five mins to set up, don't over think it.This Hudson works a treat a lot less static.Just make sure it's grounded,or it won't work.My stylus is also cleaner,Also it works without sticking it to my TT.As I have a few so it's portable too.

Seems well built and easy to install, a 5 minute setup. The balance is delicate, but functional once you have it level. The counterweight screw is solid, but the arm weight floats a bit more than I would like. I think the brush helps more than the grounding, as I notice little, if any, improvement in noise/static. I don't see any harm in having it and it should help keep the vinyl clean(er). I do see potential placement issues with many TTs due to the orientation of the ground connection and the arm levers; clearing both with a cover on will be tricky for many, if not a showstopper.

If you are like me and you collect vinyl, you must really hate dust. Doesn't it seem that you freshly dust the living room only to turn around an hour later and it's all dusty again? I just can't stand that. The same goes for my vinyl records.I have several high-end turntables in my collection and if I play a record without first cleaning it through the ultrasonic cleaner there may be a little bit of dust accumulation on the record. Also sometimes there could be a small amount of static. This device simply rests on the plinth of your turntable and mine is at the back rear left, and it's so incredibly featherlite it affects nothing as far as turntable speed or anything else. The brush delicately whisks away any dust while the record is playing as well as seems to remove any static so popping another noises are greatly reduced, and it also tends to keep the turntable stylus much cleaner and not accumulate as much on the stylus as normal.for such a low cost device and such a simple design I'm very impressed with the performance of this device and I can thoroughly recommend it for anyone who is serious about their vinyl and hates dust at all costs. Two thumbs up! By the way, if you want to see these devices in action there are plenty of videos on YouTube which is where I first saw them, and they deliver what they promise. I hope this helps!

I thought I made a mistake by buying this. I was looking for something to remove the static off the vynil since every time I lift the vynil off the record player I can hear loud pops of static and I can definitely feel it in my fingers. Well this completely solved the issue. No more pops and crackles once your done playing one side of the vynil and your removing it.Honestly I didn't think it was going to work but when I open it it was a pretty hefty piece of metal and it looks elegant as well. Matches my wood record player nicely.Setup! It kept sliding to the center slowly but surely before the needle finished the vynil. Maybe like 2 minutes before it finish. I looked at the tiny screw holding the extended pole with the hairs in place and I thought I could move it but I couldn't because the pole had an indent that it's suppose to stay that side as you screw the tiny screw on.Then I grabbed the end by the hairs and twist it slightly too were the top of the 90 degree elbow is facing the outside of the vynil. The elbow was facing inward towards the center of the vynil thats why it moved too quick. Check out my photo for reference. You can see it's slightly to the outside of the vynil and now it tracks perfect.Quick update. Unless your vynil is completely straight not warped and a perfect hole in the middle it won't work. I have a warp vynil every time this passes trough the hump it moves more towards center. Disappointing but it still helps remove the static even if it's in the middle I notice. I didn't buy it for the cleaning since I keep my vynils mintEdit. Maybe.2021Going straight to the garbage. This was a new record completely perfect. I always clean my records before and after. Dust them off and check it with a light. The dang thing lost a big hair ball size chunk of white hair and some how got imbeded into the vynil. I notice too late as it was going around it started skipping. I'm wet cleaning it now but still no luck so it looks like I might have to get another vynil. Don't bother with this. As you can see in the pic I can still see the ridges of the hair. After using the included brush to clean it a bunch of hairs came out of it.

This easy to setup and use record cleaner and de-statisizer works as it was designed.Contrary to many beliefs the clicks and pops heard on vinyl LP's is usually not dirt or grunge, at least not on well cared for and properly cleaned LP's. But it's often static charge build up on your vinyl LP's.Though ground in dirt on often or notably used LP's may not be cleanable, and groove damage, scuffs or scratches will be heard as clicks, pops and distortions, if one can keep ahead of dust that falls on your vinyl LP's as you listen to them and can reduce static charges, then you will often your vinyl LP listening to be more enjoyable. This Hudson record cleaning wand set up is to be used in conjunction with good record cleaning set up. I personally use a Spin Clean Record Washer to clean all my vinyl LP's firstly. This does a great job of deep cleaning records. But one thing I find Spin Clean may add, is static build up as you wipe dry the vinyl LP's after washing them. This may cause one to think it does not clean well enough, but it does. You just have to get at the static charges next. When playing your vinyl LP's you should run at first a carbon fibre brush before play, making sure to ground out the brush over the spindle or other metal surface that is grounded on the turntable as you destatisize the brush. Run it a few times over your LP's before lowering the tonearm for play.Another choice is a record brush used with cleaning fluid to dampen it such as the Discwasher cleaning brush and D4 fluid (the older ones used from the 70's and 80's are best). The Audio Technica AT-6012 record brush and fluid are a good choice for new alternatives as well as there are other brands which may work well enough too.But it's important to run a cleaning brush over the LP before listening to it so as to help rid of some surface dust and to help reduce built up static, especially in the dryer winter months. But here is where this Hudson record cleaning wand can help improve things more. It runs over the vinyl LP grooves as you play the album. It sweeps away falling dust and helps reduce static charges that cause clicks and pops.I found that once you balance the wand with the twist-able back counter weight, to then turn it just a couple turns forward and then slide the little slip weight to the front of the wand. This I found just has the brush fibres sit a bit harder on the record surface. Be careful if you have a belt drive turntable with fixed speeds though as this can cause a bit more drag slowing even if slightly the turntable speed down. If your turntable has variable pitch control you can adjust for this. If your turntable is quartz locked controlled, the computer will likely adjust the speed accordingly. This all said, I found the Hudson cleaning wand set up to do EXACTLY what it is to do, sweep falling dust away and help reduce static. No, it may not stop all clicks and pops, for again those could also be from ground in dirt and grunge or from groove damage, scuffs and scratches. But if your vinyl is generally clean and quiet, this addition may keep it that way for you.Well worth the money to try if you p,an on being a vinyl LP listener and collector.
