I order this to fulfil my College project. Easy to use and work as described. Easy to connect and wiring provided to avoid soldering.

I got this for an arduino project. I was hoping to be able to create a silicon replica of my thumb to use in an escape room, but this fingerprint sensor is a little too smart and won't scan unless it's touching skin (or a similar material like gelatin). When using the sensor for my finger though, I was surprised at how responsive and reliable it was. It was also super easy to setup with my arduino, took all of 5 minutes to setup and use.

I paid extra to get this item next day. It doesn't work. Now I have to order one more somewhere else. Waste of time and money.

Comes with a ton of documentation including Arduino, CPP, and RPi files (which you can all see before purchase through the link on this page). The Arduino files seem very similar to the Adafruit fingerprint library. I had a few issues (since I'm somewhat new to these things) with the included library, but the Adafruit one works perfectly, so I won't drop ratings for that. I honestly am not entirely sure what the Blue and Yellow wires are for. I believe it's some On/Off control of the actual sensor, but leaving them unplugged works fine with the Adafruit library. No complaints here. The 360 directional orientation of fingerprints seems to work well, I have a finger that I've tested from many different directions and they work.

Was a little apprehensive purchasing this due to the lack of reviews, but the price was right and the instructions seemed thorough, so figured why not.Extremely happy with my decision. Setup was a breeze and it works exactly as advertised. Highly recommended.
