The best YouTube review says don't give up, it works but not everytime, sometimes it won't register ( beep ) but works anyway. Well I had no problems.. i copied my 1st in 45 seconds. Most people purchase the wrong one Ive noticed.. this works great with my HID prox FOB..

Straight to the return box. Machine doesn’t work. All it does is power on and not do anything else.

Does not work at all. Only “reads” the tags that come with it. I’m going to take it apart, but I’m assuming it’s simple electronics that react to magnets.

So the worst part is that i cant tell if the fob works since i had so many hits and misses. The led alone i dont think are enough, i had to buy a second reader just to see if it worked so i wouldnt keep going to the condo with non working fobs and not get in. I only tested this on AWID 125hz cards. For a some extra money buy the visual one XEXE7

TLDR: works but only if it’s the right frequencyAs long as the key you’re trying to copy is the right frequency, it works great! To hopefully save you some time, if it’s a flat card you’re trying to copy, shine a light through it, if it looks like a coil going to the edges of the card this probably won’t work, if it looks like a straight rod, it may. For fobs, you can download an app like NFC TagInfo by NXP to your phone and hold the fob next to your phone. If your phone detects it at all, it’s probably the wrong frequency, if the phone doesn’t find it, good chance it’ll work with this copier. That’s at least what I read online and it held true for me. I tested a flat ID card with the “coil” inside and it didn’t work, but when I used my apartment key fob (which the app couldn’t detect), the copier worked great. Now I have a spare fob, as well as copies for my boyfriend and parents!Oh! Forgot to mention, I also read it probably won’t work on the flat stickers you put on your windshield that some apartment gates use for entry (they have coils similar to the IDs imbedded in them). Again, none of this is 100%, but I did a little research before buying because of the mixed reviews, so hoping to save you some time! :)

With the cheap plastic body, it looks like a useless toy. But don't give up. It worked surprisingly well. My apartment tried to charge me 150 dollars for an extra fob, now I have 5 for less than 10th the price. The "pass" key doesn't always light up, but it does work about 1 in 5 times. I think the alignment of the fob and the device matters a lot. I tried multiple positions, but couldn't get a reliable enough read. Good news is, you only need it to work once. It only took me a few minutes to make 5 copies. It's awesome!
