Overall, it seems sturdy and handy to use when installing hidden decking. Unfortunately, for a Trex decking fastener to be securely held in this tool, it puts the screw at a weird angle and would make driving it true difficult while also maintaining forward pressure to ensure even deck board spacing. Still usable, but poorly designed considering it is specific to Trex fasteners and not any other type.

After helping a friend do their Trex decking I looked for a easier way to install the clips easier on mine. This was it!!!!!!Simple to use. It inserts the clip exactly where needed.The cone at the top made it impossible to miss the screw head. Simply push the bit into the cone and you are where you need to be to screw the head down. Kept my readers in my pocket.I would say it cut my time by a 1/3.20x16 deck.I bought 2 so my wife could help. Turns out she has one speed with a drill/driver.FULL SPEED. Not what you need when installing the clips. So she kept loading one while I was using the other one.Fast and easy
