Small field of view, I have a hard time with clarity, and getting the eye pieces perfectly together for a nice round picture.

I bought this microscope to add a new dimension to my photography hobby. I used my Canon 5D Mark III along with an AmScope adapter. The advantage of using a good camera is that its sensitivity to light (ISO setting) can be adjusted to compensate for the lower light available at the microscope’s higher magnifications. I also did some post processing using Photoshop to get the lighting and contrast to just the way I wanted it. The 3 pictures I’ve posted show a cross section of a pine needle (using one of the professionally prepared slides I bought from AmScope). I’m very happy with the results.

Fantastic microscope for the price. Lenses are crystal clear, and the scope is very easy to use. It's a very well made proffessional quality setup.

Pros: Impressive quality. Good microscope. Decent mechanicals make for easy/smooth adjustments and stable observations.Cons: No assembly instructions - a few parts not obvious where to install - some lenses (including inside the eyepieces) required cleaning - focus point of the vertical mount tube is not identical with the eyepieces.Have not used the oil immersion lens yet.
