It's binocular. 2 eyepieces 10X and 25 X. Good quality and the light illuminates the specimen well.

Se ve muy bien la imagen en los oculares pero la cámara es de baja resolución. Imágenes de baja calidad y solamente enfoca un 20% del campo total que puedes observar en el ocular del microscopio

The microscope is OK for a student or just for fun, but this is the 2nd time I have purchased a microscope on Amazon and had to clean ALL of the lenses before I could use it. The camera only works at lower magnifications and I'm getting better pictures, literally, holding my camera up to the eyepiece. Unfortunately for me, my eyes can't see through the eyepieces so I was better off with my older, cheaper, microscope that I could attach my phone to.Final verdict - decent microscope if you have decent eyes (be prepared to clean all the lenses first) but a hard pass on the camera.

Easy to set up and use right out of the box. Everything works great and if anybody claims they didn't get slides with this then they might have overlooked the bottom of the styrofoam packing because there were 100 slides taped to the bottom. I also ordered a smartphone adapter for making videos and that was a good addition. The included camera works well but make sure your laptop camera is also turned on. The ap was a bust and mine does not function at all despite many many attempts. Downloading the ap was a problem and it never worked at all. But other than that detail ( I've emailed Swift am waiting for assistance ) the microscope deal was worth the money and I'm very happy with it.

El microscopio llego en buen estado pero no trae el disco de instalación del software, quedando inútil la cámara y por la cuál se eleva el costo.

Using this with Pandia Press's Biology curriculum and it's wonderful and easy to use. Would appreciate a little more info on how to use the oil immersion, but it's perfect for middle school or high school biology microscope labs

We bought this microscope for our child. We originally purchased a monocular, but after more research, returned the unopened monocular and purchased this trinocular. When we received the scope, we almost returned it. Amazon placed a PREVIOUSLY OPENED microscope box in a larger amazon box with NO packing materials. The only reason we didn’t return the microscope was the tape sealing the inner box was still in place. The microscope and all equipment was in proper working order and properly packaged, so only the issue was the box’s tape was either cut open or broken open due to the poor packing. The microscope appears to be well built and has some weight to it. As seen in other reviews, the light is just barely bright enough. However, using the iris closed most of the way with the light on full brightness seems to offer the best viewing of the tiny critters being observed. That camera is okay for what it is, an entry level camera. As others have said, the camera could be made to fit better. It wiggles fairly easily and you have to ensure the camera's cable isn’t touched and is secured from moving. There’s no way to tighten camera. One of the more annoying issues is the camera view isn’t centered on the binocular view. Finding the critter you're looking at in the binoculars might take some hunting, especially in a higher magnification. The other negative is the camera software. We had the option for MAC or PC but went with the PC. The software isn't intuitive and has odd extra steps that are required to save each picture .. 1 at a time! .. and I had to find the directions online. There are a few other things like the binocular tightening screw could be better executed. It’s cheesy. There were no directions for the microscope or the camera software. There are no containers to store the magnifying eye pieces .. that's just being cheap. Last, though it didn't come with a case, Swift no longer has cases you can purchase, so I had to do days of research and had to send emails to several companies including SWIFT to try to find a good case that wasn't ridiculously priced. I ended up having to spend another $65 for a canvas covered hard sided microscope box. I purchased it here on amazon. Fortunately, I found it was well build and was a good purchase.Overall, this is almost very good microscope with a few areas for improvement. However, I expect those improvements would add several hundred dollars that can't be justified, so this microscope appears to be a good compromise between too much money and more microscope than you might need.In the future, in addition to the case that I’ve already purchased, we may eventually purchase a better camera, maybe some darkfield filters if I can find any that aren't on eBay and also try to find some eyepiece containers. If you’re still unsure, do some internet searches for reviews on this microscope and I think you’ll end up purchasing this microscope.
