Great rod for salmon/steelhead have caught probably 60 salmon on it in the last 5 months since I bought itDurable light and great sensitivity and easy line management for float fishingThe Okuma sst 10’6” float rod is the one I purchased and it’s held up great and I’ve bushwhacked to my favorite fishing holes

Sad with how both rods showed up in the mail. The eyes were bent in every direction besides straight. Scrape marks on the carbon grip and along the rods. Pourly packaged and delivered. Second time this happens. Fix the issue or loose a customer

I ordered the 10'6" H spinning rod, but received an 8'6" M rod that was missing a guide and the rod tip eye was crushed. Returning it and there was no option offered to make it right. Very poor service, buyer beware.

Got this as a gift for someone, and I must say, I wish I got it for myself. Just holding it makes me feel like an avid fisherman. Aside from looks though, it is very good for salmon.

So lightweight. I surf fish with light tackle and this rod paired with my old Penn Battle was great. It’s my favorite now.I threw all day and was not sore.I didn’t think I’d like not having a cork grip, but I really didn’t mind it.

Love this poor , my only complaint is they have been out of stock of the exact one I wanted, I bought the 8,6, medium casting rod for steelhead, I tested it and it performs great, feels great in your hand, Okuma has always been the best rod for the money, Lamiglass is terrible compared to to these, I returned one to get an okuma.

Really liked the rod until the tip snapped on a small brook trout. No high stick, just a12 inch brookie head shake and the tip right at the second eyelet snapped clean off.

I was the first writer for Coastal Angler Magazine in Satellite Beach, Florida. I have been fishing for 60 years. We have serious fish around here, so I ordered heavy power. Forget about lighter power— this is the ticket, the action is great. We have gator sea trout with weak mouths. It is supple enough not to rip their lips. Meanwhile, you can put pressure on a snook, redfish, or whatever might be trying to take you into structure. I have used it on the flats, Sebastian Inlet, and the Beach for longer casting. It has great action and is light as a feather. Catching pompano on this masterpiece is more fun than a beefier surf rod. I love it!
