A good jetty rod, it can take the abuse. My ugly sticks keep on fishing when my graphite break. I have some expensive rods for bass tournaments but that is not always required. These are much better for general fishing, they just work. From sturgeon to saltwater, and backpack trout. I love my ugly sticks when some abuse is involved!

This is the one for surf fishing or off the rock jetty where you have to cast out pretty far. I like this one a lot, as it's nearly indestructible and balances well.
