This is a quality rod, the finish is flawless and the roller guides smooth. It arrives in two sections which tighten together with a threaded coupler to form a solid connection. I’ve had it for a couple of months and paired it with a Penn 50 the setup has caught Mahi, Tuna and Wahoo. The rod has performed perfectly.

I have quite a few of these fishing poles and everyone them do not disappoint. These poles hold up to the abuse and the test of big catfish with no problems. This is a great buy at this price.

I got this rod to go with a Penn 50 VISW that needed a rod. The craftsmanship and aesthetics are first class, and I like the padded fore handle. The blank is straight, the roller guides are perfectly aligned and spaced, and the bent butt is a feature needed for my intended use. The rod is very strong and can exert extreme pressure on any large fish. My only concern with this rod is the strength of the nut that ultimately secures the reel in the reel seat. The nut does allow the reel to be securely attached and tightened, but large fish will find any weakness, and I’ll have to watch that part of the rod to see how it holds up. (Since I have backing plates on my rod holders and use safety lines, the reel isn’t going to be lost regardless.) Other than this issue, the rod appears to have the same overall design and quality as four other name-brand heavy trolling rods I’ve used for years, and I expect to be able to have many years of service out of this rod, as well. I’m excited to have this as a part of my fishing equipment.

This rod will land you that prize. It is solidly built and very strong. The reel is very high quality and easy to use while being comfortable for longer fights. Smooth reeling and easy drag set. Love this rod it is unmatched for prize catches

I was eager to try this rod and ordered 6'6" bent butt variation. Out of the box, the rod immediately impresses with its craftsmanship. It's built solidly, with a sleek design that combines dark brown and gold accents. The materials are top-notch, with smooth roller guides and a strong backbone, making it perfect for offshore trolling. Assembly is a breeze, and it comes with a padded carrying case for added convenience. This rod is designed for serious fishing. The roller guides are well-placed and operate smoothly, though they can be a bit loud. The 2-piece construction is secure, though I feel the locking mechanism could be a bit more robust. Despite these minor quirks, the rod excels in action, handling large fish like halibut and tuna with ease.
