2003 Silverado 4.8 Used it to replaced a Dorman sensor that only lasted a couple months before it went to 80lbs and stayed there. Came with thread sealant on threads, compression washer and screen filter. Oil pressure gauge shows a normal pressure like the original sensor did (Dorman showed a concerning lower pressure until it failed)27mm deep well socket I had from a Harbor Freight impact set fit the original, Dorman and this one (a 1 1/16 S&K I have was a hair to tight when I did it the first time). A standard wall or thin wall socket would be better, impact have thicker wall makes the outside bigger and have to pay attention to keeping it straight because it will not fit all the way down in the recess the sensor is in.

Changed out my leaking OEM GM sensor two weeks back. No leaks from the new one, reading appear correct. I would recommend ordering the socket that goes with this sensor to make installation a little easier, but changing these out on an Avalanche isn't easy. The sensor is between the upper firewall and the intake manifold about 4 inches below what you can see. The engineers hate us. But with some creative language you'll get it threaded back in and then some more to get the wires attached.

Day 1-It fits, it works. Pain in butt to install, but can be done without removing any other engine parts.

Very disappointed do to the new oil Sensor coming apart at the start of installation. Sensor is garbage I tell you. I should of known for the price was so cheap. Well a cheaply made product. Waisted my money on this product. I'll be going to an auto part store for the real deal.

The oil pressure gage in my 2006 Suburban suddenly started reading 80psi upon starting it up. A little research indicated this part is the common culprit, and it was for me. Do yourself a favor...look up how this is changed on youtube. While not a hard part to change, it is definitely not easy to get to.Make sure you have the needed tools...a large set of deep well sockets (1 1/16" worked for me), a 4" extension is needed...much longer and it might not work, I also used a universal joint to give me a little bit more length plus some flexibility due to the area being tough to get to. The sockets I have happened to be 1/2" drive, which worked well.Overall, the job took me about half an hour to complete. The oil pressure gage is once again working properly. I hope I don't have to do this again, but if so, I know this part fits and works, so I would buy again.
