Does what it should, easy to replace. Don't over tighten and you'll be all good.

Not a very exciting or glamorous part but it performs how it should. Fair price and quick shipping, it’s nice to be able to get oem parts from Amazon

Item listed as genuine subaru parts but the package is received isn't even the correct part and isn't even a subaru part, I assume cheap China crap. Would not recommend ordering this part as not only is it the entirely wrong part for my vehicle it wasn't a subaru stamped part like the listing shows.

This is a factory Subaru part that is made for my car and is guaranteed to fit and work properly. I don't trust off brand parts anymore.

We had a burning rubber smell inside the car and P0028 code on our 2008 Subaru Legacy, 4 cylinder. Under the hood there were wisps of smoke near the oil fill neck. Researched the issue on various forums and the suggestion was to change this sensor. Purchased two because after the first one fails, the second one is rumored to go shortly after. Both are easily replaced with a 24mm deep well socket, 6-8" extension, ratchet, and some thread sealant. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN! These utilize a tapered pipe thread and the sensor does not thread in flush to the block. Overtightening will break the sensor or crack the section of the block it threads into, use caution. This is an easy at home repair, just don't go crazy tightening it down.P0028 is the driver side sensor on the front of the motor near the oil filler neck.P0026 is the passenger side near the fire wall (back of the motor).
