Have used this time clock for years. Original motor lasted about 10 years. It was replaced in Dec 2019 and again Oct 2023. It has failed again-14 months. Electrical motor still works but gears failed. Apparently not as well made for longevity as original. I opened the gear box and found all brass gears AND ONE PLASTIC gear which failed. So sad that industry designs for failure.

Works perfect and shipped same day as ordered. It comes with instructions which are definitely useful...make sure you read the part about the clutch being threaded on IN REVERSE. It took me about ten minutes to install the motor. I had a service company change the motor a few years back and it cost a total of $134.00 but took them three days to get to it. This saved me about $100 and was a lot quicker than taking it in for repair

I have had to replace three of these motors. I cannot say if this one is any better than the previously replaced ones but time will tell. I expect better quality in this sort of motor.
