The internal battery backup keeps the clock on time, even during power outages. Flexible options: With over 300 possible print configurations and 13 preset messages in your choice of six languages, the ES900 easily supports a wide variety of time and attendance document control applications. This time stamp accommodates virtually any time card, document or form, offering adjustable print font size, your choice of automatic, semi-automatic or manual print operation, and left or right hand print. The power supply is switchable from 124V to 240V. Easy to use: Cards and documents are a snap to align correctly, thanks to a handy window in the cover and a bright internal LED illuminating the document print area. In addition, the ES900 is protected with a user-selected four digit numeric password. For your additional safety and peace of mind, the ES900 clocks are UL-approved. Lasted about 1 year in our warehouse. Is used every day to timestamp purchase requests so does see lots of use. Maybe okay for small home office, etc. The issue is that the motor that drives the stamping mechanism is a lot weaker than when new and may be due to worn plastic gears, etc. I had also purchased the backup battery option and the unit completely died in mid stamp. Only could get working after removing the battery and still the unit hesitates in the middle of stamping, sometime with an error code (I think error 32).

This unit should be OK for a small shop environment. Not extremely difficult to set up if you can follow instructions. Unit has many ways to set up the print output so should satisfy just about anyone needs. The time cards are easy to line up in the window, the only issue is the adjustable backstop which is very flimsy and moves with repeated use (I used a small strip of duct-tape to secure it from sliding back, temporary fix but will come up with more elegant solution when time permits) Purchased mainly because I wanted a digital unit that was set and forget, and this unit synchronizes to the national atomic clock, but not sure how it will hold up over time, we shall see.
