I really do like this concept for time clocks compared to the (really) old paper punch card systems. I do have a few gripes - this unit isn't really scalable as it is a stand-alone unit. You can only download data in spreadsheets using a thumb drive. The face reader glitches occasionally causing not to recognize an employee. But, despite all of that it is still an improvement over manual time cards.

Bought this for my dental office and not completely happy with it. We used a PC based time clock with a fingerprint scanner for years, but decided to “up-grade.” The device is harder to use and input data into its system. Data input is through a 11 button keypad and that’s a real joy. It’s supposed to support facial recognition, fingerprint biometrics and magnetic card clock-in, but I’ve only been able to get fingerprint clock-in setup. Any time you get in front of the device it says, “face not recognized” and it’ll do it over and over—very annoying. Instructions are typical Chinese translated garbage and payroll reports can only be retrieved by emailing an Exel file or using a thumb drive to export an Exel file. You have to manipulate the Exel file to get a time report for each employee and there is no native formatting for such like I had before. It works and keeps accurate records, but I’ve found correcting clock-in/clock-out errors has been difficult, unpredictable and time consuming. The app seems to accept the change, but the device itself doesn’t update—at least not predictably. We’re using it, but wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Not sure how long I’ll put up with all its quirks…Recently, the device has started makes a rapid clicking sound and it’s constant. Had to move it as it was annoying to my patients and it can still be heardI’m going to have to find something better.

There is a nice direction book, but it does not actually help you through the steps needed to set up the employees. When signing in as an administrator, I am surprised every time that it works... because although it has a nice screen, it does not tell you what to do... Is it my face id, or my fingerprint? The link to a you tube direction video goes nowhere... I still haven't figured it out and implemented it in my office. I am sticking with it, but, there must be a smoother working model.

GTeco Time Clocks for Employees Small Business with Face, Fingerprint, RFID and PIN Punching in One, Office Time Card Machine Automatic Punch with APP for iOS Android (0 Monthly Fee)it has been a while since i have had to use a physical timeclock so i do not have a frame of refernce for what this would compare to. i got it for time motion studies, and project times. so i have a rfid card labeled for a particular task or work order. and i clock it in and out as the work proceeds and concludes. for this it is pretty great, i then can get a spreadsheet of this. it has a little screen that has like screensavers, it flips thru pictures. so that is inviting and creepy all at the same time. i like the unit, it does what i need it to do. the rfid is a game changer for tracking projects as i only have 10 fingers and other methods werent appetizing. i really do not like their manuals. they are not easy or intuitive and do not repeat information, so you are forced to read the first bits to make sense of the next bits. so to just gfet it setup you really have to dig in. this is suboptimal. make it easier. this is the 2nd ngteco clock i have got, the first one went to goodwill. this one i will keep becasue of the rfid card functionality. but i really wish the manual wasnt so awful. its terrible. bad. the device once you trudge thru is pretty fantastic. it makes noises to, so you have clear indication tthings have registered. i imagine this will work quite well in a small business environment.
